The location is close to the international airport, there was free breakfast available which was pretty good, with hot options available. There also was a free shuttle to the airport upon request which was extremely helpful. The place looks like it was renovated recently. Rooms had ample space, that is for certain.

Unfortunately we had an Argentine ant investigation in the bathroom, which we didn't notice until the morning after. We also found what we believed were bed bugs. We were checking out at that point and brought it up to the staff. I'm waiting on the discount for my room, at that point it did not meet our expectations and we have to go through the bed bug/ant protocol with all of our belongings. With this in mind, always check your bedding and rooms with hotels near the airport as a precaution.

Wir sind jedes Jahr in diesem Hotel, nicht weil es uns gefällt, sondern weil es das am wenigsten schlechte unter den nicht überteuerten Flughafenhotels zu sein scheint. Immerhin sind die Zimmer groß, die Betten gut und nachts ist es ruhig. Darüber hinaus gibt es einen - einigermaßen gut funktionierenden - pick-up Service des Hotels vom Flughafen.

Dieses Jahr brachte man uns in ein Zimmer unter, in dem die Klimaanlage nicht funktionierte und auch nicht der Fernseher, dann auch nicht die Stromanschlüsse für unsere Geräte. Es dauerte lang bis die einzige Dame an der Rezeption ein neues Zimmer für uns fand, allerdings mit einem recht verschmutzten Teppichboden. Am nächsten Morgen wollten wir frühstücken, fanden aber um 7:00 nur ein rudimentäres Frühstück vor weil das meiste was man in den früheren Jahren angeboten hatte diesmal fehlte - kein Joghurt, kein Obst, keine Waffeln, keine Bagels.

Fijn bed, ruime kamer, dichtbij het vliegveld, vriendelijk personeel. Fijne uitvalsbasis als je een lage tussenstop hebt in Houston.

We were sent to this hotel after a major flight disruption involving an emergency landing in Monterrey, Mexico, followed by a very late arrival into Houston. After an already stressful travel day, we selected this La Quinta because it was one of the closest hotel options available. Unfortunately, the experience was unacceptable from the moment we arrived. The entire hotel reeked of mildew as soon as we walked into the lobby. There was a visible wet spot in the lobby area, so we initially hoped the smell was isolated to that area, but it was not. The odor carried throughout the property and into the guest room. It was so overpowering that we could not stay the entire night and ended up returning to the airport. The shuttle experience was also concerning. The shuttle driver drove recklessly and nearly rear-ended another vehicle. When we arrived at the airport, she opened the shuttle door while the vehicle was still rolling. She appeared tired or not fully alert, which made the ride feel unsafe. This was far below even a basic hotel standard. After coming from an amazing stay at Corazón Cabo and a beautiful dinner at El Farallon, this was a shocking and miserable contrast. I understand this is an airport hotel, not a luxury resort, but cleanliness, safe transportation, and a room that does not smell like mildew should be non-negotiable.
