Sofia Balkan Palace

A localização é ótima, permite fazer tudo á pé. O café da manhã é muito farto com muitas opções. A limpeza do quarto e o atendimento foi um ponto fraco.

A limpeza do quarto não foi o que se espera de um 5 estrelas. Faltou sabonete líquido nos últimos 2 dias. E os recepcionistas também não foram agradáveis.

Lovely Hotel steps away from metro and Main Street with restaurants shops etc

Room was lovely and spacious but there wasn’t any protectors on the bed and the mattress was quite stained which was very off putting. The bedding itself was very old and didn’t feel nice. There was no information folder in room. Didn’t know how to use phone in room to call reception as there was no instructions on the phone. Didn’t find many of the staff friendly but they would answer any questions we had. Breakfast wasn’t great. All the hot food was actually lukewarm which I think is how they like their food in Bulgaria in general.

Great location and an attractive exterior.

Housekeeping and service were disappointing, although the other front-of-house staff we dealt with were very friendly. We checked in at around 2am and had to wait at the desk before anyone arrived. We also asked for extra bottled water but were told to drink tap water instead, which felt unhelpful after such a late arrival. When we entered the room, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the shower, I ended up having to clean it myself given the time of day. The room was also not serviced on the first full day despite us chasing, and eventually when it was cleaned on the following day the cleaning felt rushed and below the standard expected. E.g. cup left dirty I also reported the broken bathroom socket twice, but no one came to fix it. This was frustrating as it was needed for the hairdryer, and the bathroom had the only mirror in the room.
