"A very pleasant experience which, on the whole, was value for money."

The initial impression is excellent ; park like entrance with well manicured grounds. Good parking and an excellent bar type restaurant. Breakfast was similarly excellent with a great variety of choice and very reasonably priced. We had 2 large dogs which were expected (we had pre-warned) and were made welcome. A very enjoyable overnight stay.

Overall, the venue was beginning to look and feel a bit tired. Everything was there, tea, coffee etc but the room features were showing their age; a wardrobe door didn't work and the TV didn't function properly although this was quickly fixed, after a fashion, when we brought it to the staffs attention (allegedly in the process of being upgraded). We were charge an extra £25 for each dog because the room would require a deep clean afterwards. However, how deep can you clean after 1 dog to need twice as much for the second.
