Durham Marriott City Center

We were double charged for our stay. I was told they would remove the charge but they have not. I paid in advance prior to checking in and when my gf arrived they charged her card then tried to tell me I was only charged once. I’m sure mistakes happen but this one was uncalled for and I’m still waiting on them to remove one of the charges.

Everything was great to my expectations. I'm grateful for this hotel.

I booked two rooms but was told only one was in their system. Fortunately, they had rooms available that night, which didn't get us embarrassed after a long day ride then. I'm not sure if I could trust you in the future. Can you please tell me what was wrong?

The property was safe, easy to get to, centeally located, had great options for dining in house and nearby, and had an incredible staff.

Paying for breakfast

When in Durham to visit family we always stay at the Marriot City Center. It's in a great location, rooms are comfortable and very clean and the employees are the best! Kind and helpful. It also has a comfortable lobby with lots of space to relax plus a good breakfast.

I didn’t get to experience it! They overbooked and kick me to a hotel 38 miles away. I was not happy!

The staff was rude when they told us we weren’t going to be able to have a room that I booked two months prior. I will NEVER stay at a Marriott again. This is not how you treat people!

I made the drive to Durham so I could see a show at the Durham performing arts center. The Marriott is very close. The hotel itself is clean and well cared for. My room was perfect. The thing that set this experience apart from a lot of other experience I have had was the employees. Every member I interacted with from the valet when I arrived, the women at the desk, a woman I spoke with in the bar to find out where I could get something to eat because it was late. Everyone without exception was so kind to me. I could not have had a better experience. You could have the most beautiful hotel in the world and one employee could spoil your stay. The employees at this property are worth their weight and gold.
