Royalton Inn & Suites

AWFUL!!!! Where should I start? This is The Heartbreak Hotel. Pungent smell of indian cooking permeates throughout entire hotel. Hot water is intermittent, at best. WIFI absolutely lousy, always falling and very weak. Birds nest over entrance door with bird excrement all over front door and sidewalk. Very old property, with awful sewage smell in the bathroom. Forget it...the entrance door has a sign saying "please leave your muddy shoes outside". If you are in the area on business do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, like and Hampton Inn, for the same prices, where you will be treated decently and with the utmost cleanliness. This was my biggest hotel mistake in a very long while. And the last.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Wish the fridges were turned on before our arrival and was disappointed that the breakfast wasn't available even though the website and the outside electronic marquee said breakfast was provided.

Drains were slow in bathroom and shower did not work correctly, plus girlfriend got bit by spiders in bed while sleeping and had to kill spiders in tub prior to showering

It was freezing when you come in and there was stuff left on the hot tube spa

There was no heat in the hallways. Room was clean, but dated. Mattress was very hard.

The staff was friendly, courteous, efficient and fantastic. Beds were firm and wonderful. Some traffic noise. Clean room. Room could have used a blanket. They did have air conditioning and heat, but having that blanket would have meant not having to adjust the heat. One standing lamp didn't work. I didn't get a chance to try the pool. They did take it was best to use it at night so that it warms up. Breakfast was out of waffle mix when I went there Thanksgiving morning, but that could have been because of the holidays. Could have used some fruit. They did have bacon and eggs in the fridge. I enjoyed the bacon. TV had lots of channels. That was nice. Long distance calls were free. That was also nice.
