Alfama de Paixao

Die Unterkunft bestand aus Schlafzimmer mit franz. Balkon, Wohnküche und Bad. Vieles war neu renoviert, manche Möbel könnten eine Erneuerung vertragen. Die Kommunikation während Ankunft und Abreise funktionierte über WhatsApp und einen Schlüsselsafe problemlos. Die Lage am Nordrand der Alfama ist sehr gut. Die Tram 28 erreicht man in 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß, ein Café liegt 3 Minuten vom Haus entfernt (sehr nett, gutes Frühstück). Den zentralen Platz am Ufer des Tejo erreicht man mit der Tram oder in 20-25 bequem zu Fuß quer durch die Alfama.

There is nothing I liked about this property!

This property is very hard to locate, even for the taxi drivers. Poor communication with the host, never even seen him. Hard to get into the lock box, the taxi driver had to call owner to assist us in getting into the place. They even said it’s a bad part of town. When he left he said good luck with this place.The stairs to climb are steep and it’s dark, light only stays on for a minute. The place is unsafe, the shower head is not attached and no hot water. The wardrobe in the bedroom easily could fall over. My spouse, 2 year old daughter awoke our second night to an intruder who came into balcony on the second floor at 3:00 am, extremely terrifying. My spouse got hurt trying to grab our daughters diaper bag that this person was stealing, he got away with my daughters things, neighbors called police. The owner never even came by, I am still awaiting a full refund, for this stay. We had two remaining nights left. Please beware, it’s not a good place. I must say I am very well travelled and never have stayed in a place like this. It is a very misleading description it is definitely not a cozy apartment. I feel the reviews are completely fake that say this place is good. The photos are of the view, no city view. The injuries my spouse has incurred trying to retrieve our daughters diaper bag from the intruder. Meanwhile I still await a refund from this owner.

There was not air conditioning as I saw in the picture.

I’ve never seen something so disgusting, apartment was uncleaned so I had to clean and sweep dust, hairs and nails. Shower, doors, cupboard were broken. Everything was sticky and dirty. Flower pots full of butts. Nobody cared about our complaint.

Have the basic to REST and COOK available.

The specific place where is located is not so good but the REGION / NEIGHBOORHOOD is good.

This place was just beautiful well maintained and taken care of i would definitely stay here again!
