Quality Inn Murray University Area

I felt like I should have paid $30-50 less than what I actually paid for this room. The layout of the building was also more like a cheap motel than a 2-star hotel. Pros: - Breakfast was perfect. Still a standard hotel breakfast, but the fruit was fresh, the eggs were tasty, the sausage was warm, and everything looked appetizing. - It was alright. I woke up only once throughout the night. Plenty of pillows, bed was comfy enough. - The hallways smelled nice and clean. - Good location--close to Murray State's campus, right next to a gas station, a Kroger, and a Walmart. Cons: - No elevators to my knowledge - "Vending" was one Pepsi machine with 3 different drink options. No ice to my knowledge. - Everything in my room was kind of grimy. The toilet seat had clearly not been cleaned. There were a couple of bugs in the room upon check-in. There was a razor blade cover left in the shower. Floor tiles in the bathroom were broken and whoever painted the room did a messy job. - The sink in my room was clogged. I wasn't there for long enough to call the front office about it, but it didn't drain even a little bit while I was there. - The A/C unit in my room made a loud rattling noise when it ran. It woke me up once in the middle of the night. - My room smelled funky, almost like it had once been a smoking room and had never fully recovered. Overall, I've had worse, but I expected better quality given the price and location.

Stayed night before surgery. Very clean and comfortable. Night manager was so friendly and such a delight to talk to. Would definitely stay agai.

It was fine. It was just disappointed that the pool after we asked for a hotel with a pool for my grand daughter

The hotel was really run down. The indoor pool was drained dry and the whole spa area was closed off. The free "hot breakfast buffet" consisted of eggs and a waffle iron. The rest of the items were cold food items. The bathroom in the room wasn't clean and the air conditioning unit didn't work. Our room was very hot.

Overall good experience. However the pool has been under repair for at least 6 months. Continental breakfast was good.

No issues. Nice breakfast. Expedia did not work, we had to get a room on arrival.

I have stayed here every month for the past year. I drive 5 hours to visit my parents in 2 separate nursing homes. It was nice to relax in the pool and hot tub. Much to my surprise both were closed and it was not mentioned on the web site. There weren't very many occupants so breakfast was very sparse. What breakfast there was was difficult to enjoy because the staff were loudly visiting in the area. Security is lax. You can lock the door but not use the bar because it was gone. This allowed housekeeping to walk in while I was still there. For these reasons I think I need to find a new hotel to stay each month

We were traveling and needed some rest. Most hotels were full but the booking desk sent us here. Was excellent except for the vaca program pitch. I just needed some rest and sales person was a little aggressive after I said I wasn't interested. But the room was excellent with very friendly morning staff.

Smelled of smoke, stain on bedspread, bathroom floor tiles deteriorating, not clean.

I stay here about every 3-4 months if not more. Both my parents are in different assisted living homes in Murray. When I go to see them I try to always stay here. My only concern this time was the lock on my door. The top lock was not on the door. The hotel is becoming dated. The staff are always very nice and helpful. Breakfast is ok but not top of the line.
