the location.

My card for my room kept not working, had to keep going to get new ones. they only allowed me to have 4 people in the pool at the time even though i booked a suite for 6 people. the breakfast was limited which i did not know that upon booking.

The staff and accommodations were good.

Weak breakfast menu no eggs or meat proteins nothing warm except waffles.

Location and comfort

My company checks in with lodging centers to ensure that all front desk and housekeeping staff, as well as management are certified and educated, if not and human trafficking prevent prevention and awareness during this day, a lady that was in a room above me with a male friend was violently assaulted. I had to call 911 during this incident. I asked the front desk, young lady by the name of Katie, if she was certified or educated in human trafficking when she began her employment with your company, she told me no, and she really wasn’t aware of what to do for anyone safety including her own other than to call 911. This is alarming. Normally I will speak with management. Tell them who I am and offer this certification class for all employees. While Michigan does not enforce any kind of human trafficking, education and training yet for lodging centers, other than those that are known to have prostitution and trafficking issues, they are required to educate or certified at least once in human trafficking prevent prevention measures, although signage is not required. I believe that this certification would benefit your employees greatly. This property unfortunately, did not earn our safe stay approval.

It was close to work

There was no elevator and I was given a room on the second floor. As a travel nurse, I come with a lot of bags. The hallways and stairwell smell like marijuana- even though I was told when checking in that I need to follow the rules and sign agreeing to do so. The fire alarm in the room was covered with a plastic shopping bag (room 223) so either someone before me was trying to cover up their smoking or Quality was going against fire code regulations. I had to use a towel at the bottom of the door to keep the smell of marijuana out. It often gets stuffy in the room so I turned the A/C on. I had to turn it lower and lower because the room was not cooling off. I turned the thermostat down all the way to 67 with the fan on high and it took the whole night to get it to a comfortable temperature. The next night I opened the window as it was cooler out that night, and noticed there wasn’t a lock on the window and when opened, the screen was broken with the bottom having a huge gaping hole. To top off my stay there were bugs in the bathroom and by day 4 or 5, the toilet started showing visible signs of bacteria build up. Needless to say, I will not be back.
