Location was good, close to food. Facility is a little run down but all in all not terrible. Beds were soft without being too mushy. Shower was fine but not great. I'm one of those people that inspect the room before I bring my stuff in. Pull the covers back and inspect, lay down to test the comfort level. I make sure the climate control and shower gets hot and cold, I flush the toilet. I look for signs that the housekeeping is doing a good job or not ECT. Found no weird stray hairs, no evidence of pests, TV worked, plenty of towels. Overall clean and everything worked. Also the property doesn't sit right next to the interstate so road noise was a non issue. Plenty of outlets for plugging in devices.

The pillows are not great. They give you four of them but they are formless and small. For some reason I had issues with allergies in the room. We stayed for two nights. Ran around San Marcos the whole time and the only time my allergies acted up was in the room. It's not just me, my wife had issues as well. I don't know if it's a dirty ac filter or the pillows but everytime I laid down my sinuses would close up. Let's talk about breakfast. I didn't expect to be impressed because of the price and because it was only listed as a continental breakfast. But sweet Lord it was so underwhelming that I actually got a little annoyed. Bread. Bread. Some bread. But at least they had bread. And it may have been fresh. I wouldn't know, I didn't try anything. It was pathetic enough that I thought I might be getting pranked. I saw a coffee machine and a orange juice dispenser but I was so put off I turned around and left. I guess it would be ok if you really like... Bread.

Location was perfect/ quaint/ peaceful. In relation to university where child attends.

Property lacks ventilation in restroom and windows were bolted shut. God forbid if there was a fire in building or simply just to air out a stuffy room. Had to always crack front door open leaving room unsecured.
