Southpoint Suites Jacksonville

Staff was very friendly but the room was not clean. The carpet was filthy and stained. Pull out couch mattress was all springs and was extremely gross and stained. The tv signal was in and out. Also smoke alarm was missing in the room. The halls were dirty as well.

We stayed for a quick overnight business trip. We chose this hotel strictly on convenient location and price. It was cheap so "you get what you pay for". The property is old and not in the best condition, but at least the room was clean, even if a bit run-down. Staff was friendly during check in, but the check-in hours are limited. If you need a place to crash for the night, it will work - don't plan a vacation there with the family.

I prepaid online . Drove from Pennsylvania to Jacksonville. Checked in. Got to the room wasnt what I paid for . It was disgusting , floors were sticky, toilet wouldn't flush, no sofa bed , beds were nasty , shower was beyond unsanitary . Spoke with front desk she talked to her manager Donna smith who didn't help in anyway. Wouldnt refund , also charged my card another $100 for incidentals and it was only supposed to be on hold . they didn't have a room to accommodate. Spent the next 3 hrs searching for another place to stay .

Plenty of parking

They did not have the room that I booked for through you guys I ended up with a queen bed and a pullout couch because they no longer had the two beds. The carpets were stained and nasty holes in the walls screens ripped and furniture cracked chair wobbles and we had cockroaches so for some reason you guys confirmations and bookings does not go through because they were not able to give us the room that I had booked for.

New management is MUCH BETTER than the old management, towanna has made the place SO MUCH BETTER just by her presence and her ability to treat us like actual people, instead of walking piggy banks. Rented a room with a pullout couch, previous management tried to con us into paying more, even after the bathroom stopped working, new management switched our rooms and is doing everything in their power to make up for the previous managements misdeeds.

Rude staff. Not sure on spelling. Tawana I believe. Moved rooms 5 times. (With staff from rooms 2-5) they witnessed in 2/3 rooms with us cockroaches. Would not refund us or move us to another hotel on their dime. Garbage throughout hallways, blood stains on floors. Will never go back.
