The pillows had a mildew smell

I must start off by saying, I read reviews on this hotel all the way back to last year and I was concerned. I arrived and took a drive around. It is not a large hotel, one way in and out. Parking was plentiful and I was able to secure a spot near the lobby entrance. Upon entering the hotel, I had to be let in by someone who works there. The front door is key access only. Holy cow! I found later that all doors, with the exception of one, are key access only. The woman at the desk greeted me with the warmest smile and “Welcome” from a Towanna. Someone was cleaning around the lobby area and it smelled wonderful. Check in was easy, I was on an upper floor and there was an elevator option thankfully as I don’t prefer the stairs. The hotel suite was immaculate, spacious with a full kitchenette. I was advised during the check in that I would have ice trays as the hotel did not have an ice machine and there was no cookware or dining sets. It was available for purchase but the price was a little steep in my opinion. I opted to purchase my own from a local Walmart. The bed was medium, not too firm, not too soft. The linens were fresh. I was surprised that there was no pool or breakfast as advertised. I was informed at the desk that vending machines and laundry facilities were in the lobby area, first floor. The hotel offers minimal extras - soap but no shampoo. The complimentary Wi-Fi was sufficient for my needs so I did not purchase the additional Wi-Fi that was offered. Most of my stay was quiet, with the exception of some elevated noise near my room. I could hear someone who works there ask that whomever it was be mindful of the surrounding guest. I found out later that it was the manager, Donna. The same person later called me during my trip to welcome me and ask about how my travel was going. That is a first and I was quite impressed. We chatted about the area a bit and a return trip for a future date. All in all, this is a no frills experience with just the right amount of kindness and care to make up for the lack of amenities.

The location

No good staff. No towel. The Kitchen dont work!

The sofa bed provided was not usable. I informed the concierge and they knew about it. They didn't offer to replace it. The formica on the kitchen countertop was peeling off. This was informed as well. No indication that something could be done. We didn't try to use the kitchen at all. Refrigerator was working but exterior surface was rusted.

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel and the staff. From the very beginning the staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating. I ended up staying a few extra nights instead of the one night that I planned on staying and I definitely plan on returning to this location in the near future for any of my get aways! Tawanna, Shay and the manager who's name I apologetically can't remember were all very professional, welcoming and super friendly! Thank you ladies for everything 🫶🫶❤️
