La Samanna, A Belmond Hotel, St Martin

The pluses of the hotel are: A. Big, well-arranged rooms B. the most beautiful beach on the island. It is really not worth to visit any other beaches on the island, as you will not find a better beach than this one. Also, great cocktails (their Pina colada is a must) C. great, super tentative hotel manager (Stephanie) which really knows how to provide guests with a great experience.

This is our second year in a row staying at La Samanna and it did not disappoint. My wife and I usually try to go on new adventures but hard not returning to this resort! The staff is very accommodating and you really never need to leave the resort for anything better. True relaxation!! We will be returning!!

If you are looking for a premier beach, fantastic rooms and excellent service, this is the place for you! The views are outstanding, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and I can't think of a better beach I have ever been on. The sailboat excursions pay to come into the bay you are on!

La Samanna was everything it was reputed to be and then some. Incredible location, beautiful beaches and a staff whose goal is to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

My stay at the Belmond in St. Maarten was very disappointing. This hotel is old and not well maintained. The gardens are messy, with patches of missing grass, making it look neglected. The architecture feels more like a hostel than a luxury hotel. The beach is not flat, making it hard to reach the water unless you’re quite fit. Plus, there are construction sites around, which ruin the atmosphere. Service was terrible. On the beach, we waited 45 minutes just to get drinks and towels. At the spa, my massage was so repetitive that I asked to stop 10 minutes early—the therapist seemed tired and uninterested. The food was not bad. Breakfast was good, and the Italian restaurant on the beach was decent ( not amazing ) We booked a suite for $4,000 per night, expecting luxury, but it was a waste of money. The décor looked cheap, and a noisy fridge in the living room kept us up at night. I’ve stayed in the best hotels—Aman, Four Seasons, One&Only, Les Airelles, Cheval Blanc—and this was by far the worst. If you’re visiting the Caribbean, go to Anguilla or St. Barth instead. Avoid this hotel!

Location and facilities are incredible. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The food and beverage was great as well.

I had a wonderful and relaxing time at La Samanna. The staff is what truly makes this place special. They are very attentive and ensure that you are well taken care of. My favorite dining experience was at the Italian restaurant, where the food was excellent overall. I also had a massage at the spa, which was incredible thanks to the experienced staff. The beach is stunning, with crystal clear waters and soft sand at your feet. If you're looking for a quiet and rejuvenating getaway, I highly recommend La Samanna. I will definitely be returning!

the property is the service, the view ,is amazing however the spa , is out of this world , the energy the series are amazing
