Tolles Hotel mit Charme.Wer auf Kolonialstil und Vintagefeeling steht fühlt sich hier so wie wir sicher wohl.Personal auch sehr freundlich, Frühstück sehr gut und die Lage ist perfekt. Kommen gerne wieder !

Peut être le fait qu il ne soit pas possible de dormir dans l obscurité du fait des persiennes et de la lumière du couloir

Great location in the hustle and bustle of Kandy. Loved the colonial style accommodation and it felt like a step back in time. Breakfast was traditional English which we enjoyed and the trainee waitress did a great job 👏.

A weird smell in the room (we think it came from the wardrobe). Also no hot water both days we stayed which let the place down. Staff were friendly but didn’t go above and beyond to see how our stay was.

We had booked for 2 nights, day 1 was a Sri Lanka holiday so maybe this impacted our stay. Our room no5 was so bad with an overpowering smell of so many moth balls we found in the room. On night 1 almost impossible to sleep and the next day we could not find senior staff to complain to so just checked out early and left hotel. No offer of refund from hotel as we had to pay up front !!

A charming hotel close to the temple and lake. History is the ambience, with old fashioned furniture and fittings. It even has a small photo museum. The courtyard is open and joins the bar. Upstairs are the rooms and restaurant. It's called the Royal Bar and Hotel and that is the order that defines it. We enjoyed cocktails and then a short climb to bed. Highly recommended if staying a night or 2 in Kandy (and don't miss the beautiful botanical gardens!). Staff were welcoming and friendly - and the trainees were excellent!

Amazing location in the heart of Kandy, yet the rooms were quiet and tucked away from the road. The staff were all really friendly and eager to help. The hotel style is fascinating and feels like stepping back in time. Breakfast was great (allow an hour as it wasn’t a rushed experience).

The only downside was there was a bit of a smell in the room, but it wasn’t too bad for one night.

Встречали в этом отеле Новый Год. Заказали новогодний ужин: еда плюс алкоголь. Сидели смотрели телевизор по телефону. Персонал очень вежливый. Когда пробили куранты, вместе с персоналом пошли на улице взрывать феерверки. Ребята радовались как дети, атмосфера очень радостная. На следующее утро нас кормили бесплатно местными сладостями, это было в честь нового года. Отель действительно исторический, ему больше века. Номера не по современным меркам, но это по сути отель-музей. Завтраки вкусные, расположение достаточно удобное. При заселении угостили кокосами. К сожалению фоток отеля не сделал

Отель-музей, значит старый и не современный. Посетить конечно стоит, но проживать несколько дней наверное лишнее. Новогодний ужин - это немножко похоже на обман. Два блюди и десерт. Оверпрайс. Обещали безлимитный алкоголь. Алкоголь только один коктейль, виски с колой или что-то подобное. Чем ближе к ночи, тем коктейль становился более прозрачным и безалкогольным. Это не стоит своих денег.

We visit often for an evening drink so it was nice to stay. Beautiful, well maintained colonial hotel with lots of interesting features. Very good breakfast. Great location in the city centre.
