Wigan Oak Hotel

Comfy beds , nice bathroom, onsite parking 🅿️

No fans for the rooms to keep cool in the summer but there are windows that open quite wide ,

The staff were very friendly and attentive, the room was spotless with a comfortable bed and the breakfast was good 👍

The man on reception was very friendly and welcoming.

When we were arrived with our young daughter there was a heavily intoxicated homeless looking man, doing drugs and drinking outside the entrance of the hotel. He was wondering around the hotel car park looking in cars. He remained around the hotel for sometime. People were pulling up to talk to him and the drive off, can only imagine what for. We decided to look else where for a hotel and stayed up the road. The room was an okay size and was clean but the hotel entrance had an unpleasant scent as you walked in. The chap on reception was very lovely. If you have a young family and you aren’t there for a boozy weekend I would seriously look else where. Even more frustrating we aren’t allowed to a refund but should be considering the reasons why we changed hotels.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was suitably cool over three very hot days.

Impressive lounge as you entered, the painting in the room wasn’t of an excellent standard but everything was spotless

Needed some TLC but that’s hard in this current financial climate
