Quality Inn Verona - Staunton North

This is an older motel that has been thoroughly redone. Clean & comfortable. We enjoyed the retro park in front of the room because it was convenient for an overnight in & out. Breakfast was good. Checked all the boxes at a good rate

The lobby and room had an unpleasant odor. The door had a gap and could see light.

When we checked in, the desk clerk was very courteous. The breakfast was very good with a nice variety of choices.

The heating/cooling unit ran constantly and was very loud.

They cancelled the reservation on the very same day because they tried to charge me (it was supposed to be paid directly at the property) and being a travel card they couldn’t. I had no network so I could not realised not they tried to fix the issue, they just cancelled it straight away. Then when i got network I called and said they were going to check and call me back. Well that never happened, actually they blocked my number. All of this because they had already given the room to another person I guess. Well I had the reservation made a few weeks ago as i was travelling from overseas. I had to find another place on the very same evening, half an hour away because everything was sold out. Also booking did nothing. This has been the worst experience on a hotel I have had. Avoid this place

The outside had garbage in the grass areas.
