Atlantic Breeze Inn

This property should not be "advertised" as a decent place to stay. The property is run down and derelict and run down. It looks to be unsafe and not a place I would stay with my granddaughter who was with me.

We were pleasantly surprised at the condition of the room, we did not expect it to be updated for the price. The bed was clean and comfy, bathroom was clean. The disappointment was that the in room refrigerator was full of the previous renters stuff, gross.

Owner is in the process of renovating the interior of the rooms. Room 5 was completed and updated. Was great for an overnighter. This is a no frills motel and fitted our purpose. Motel is not on the water.

So, it was clean and the AC worked (and manager was very pleasant). That’s about all the positives I can relate about this place. Room was tiny. Walls are paper thin. Bathroom was just big enough to turn around in. Exterior was so run down, I drove passed the place thinking “ that can’t be it”… but sadly, it was. Exterior photos on Hotels.com should be removed because they are NOT representative of the current state of this motel (as of 8/22). Pool has been filled in and now Is completely overgrown with brush. Debri scattered everywhere, just plain run down and neglected. Very disappointing, especially for the area. All that said, we needed a one night stay, walking distance to the beach and it did not require a two night minimum. (Most in this area do this time of year). Paid $170 for this place… about $100 too much if you ask me. Did not feel very safe there. Would not recommend.

I loved the location and the powerful AC was a savior!

The smell of must hit you as soon as you opened the door, there was mold around the bathtub and tiny ants were everywhere. If the room would have been refundable, we would have left before unpacking the car. I did like that it was a close enough walk to downtown and the beach. Would maybe be okay for 1 night, but we booked for 3 and would not stay for prolonged amount of time.
