Rooms smelled of cigarette smoke

Great stay for a Michigan Football game. Nice breakfast. Princess Odilia went above beyond. I had left my keys and she chased them down. So nice to deal with. I would definitely stay again.

Location was superb, breakfast buffet was tasty, room was roomy (although it did have an odor that wasn't necessarily terrible but wasn't great either. It was a musty like smell like maybe the carpet needed a deep clean or something).

As mentioned above, the room had an odor - not terrible, but not pleasant.

This place was very conveniently located to everything I needed. That being said it was not very clean or quiet. Sometimes I could smell pot smoke in the hallways. One time in six days someone dropped off two washcloths and one bath towel. The toilet also leaks around the bottom. The staff seemed very accommodating. Although when I checked in no mention of breakfast.

Simple check in, plenty of things to do - great location

I usually stay at the Marriott hotels when I am traveling, and the Residence Inn popped up as a good choice when I was looking for more economical hotels near Ann Arbor. The hotel is close to the highway, just off Haggerty Road in Livonia but when we were checking in at night, we kind of struggled finding the location. Its in a slightly weird nook. The check in process was smooth but when we got to our room, we realized that it did not accommodate a family of 4 (which is how we booked the hotel). The living room was okay but the bedroom and specifically the bed was too small. The room was not well maintained and had a worn down look. The front desk said they had no rooms with larger beds. It was too late in the night to change hotels we decided to bear with it. If we had any housekeeping requests, they were fulfilled but there was no cleaning during our stay. The breakfast is very ordinary. The worst part was that the common area of the building where we were assigned our room was smelly and dirty. The parking is fine – the hotel charges for parking apparently but they waived it for as a courtesy because I was unaware. My wife and I worked from the hotel the next day and mercifully the internet was good and did not create any hassles. I would not want to go back to this hotel
