Residence Inn by Marriott Dayton Troy

The room wasn't clean. The bathroom door had brown streaks on it. The mattress smelled and was dirty, which could be seen through the sheet. The garbage disposal smelled.

Clean facility, helpful pleasant staff

Rooms. Very nice and clean. But first reeked of tobacco smoke. Second didn’t immediately but after ac kicked in still had fairly faint tobacco odor in area with table tv. But not in bedroom. Shame for such a nice facility.

Worked week for our needs

Hotel has food odors in hallways because of each room having kitchens.

Breakfast was amazing so much variety. Staff was extremely amazing. Every time they saw my kids, my kids came back with more toys

The grit on the bottom of the pool for traction was so rough that my husband and I both had our feet raw from being tore up after playing. Next time water shoes are a must in the pool.

Not sure why this gets high ratings on hotels.com. This is an older property in need of an overhaul. There is no covered area to unload bags and it was pouring rain both when we arrived and departed. There are no automatic doors to bring in luggage or luggage cart. Rooms are dated, bathtub didn't drain, the sink area and toilet are very low to the ground, and there was no wastebasket in the bathroom area only one under the sink in the kitchenette. We were told when we checked in that breakfast was 7-10 only to arrive at 9:15 and discover breakfast ended at 9. Very disappointing experience. We expect more from Marriott properties.

We had plenty of room! The pool area was neat and clean. Breakfast was good.

The smoking area was next to the pool.
