The common area was nice and modern. I liked breakfast. They have all the nice toppings including coconut shred and ground flex seeds. They have Chobani yogurt! The building is old. It often smells like weed in the hallway. Other time, it smells like sewage. In the room, the pots and dishes are old. The bed was nice. Bathroom was also old and some bugs were on the wall when we arrived. Overall, the staff are helpful.

Upon arrival at the Residence Inn from the UK for a family funeral, I was asked for ID and credit card to confirm the reservation and provided with 2 key cards for room 201. When we opened the door, we were shocked to see a woman in the bed watching television. I apologized and explained there must have been a mix up and we swiftly exited & returned to the reception desk. I explained what had happened, raised concerns about security and asked for access to a suite that reflected the booking, I was told there were no more suites available as the one left had not been cleaned and the person at reception was the only staff member in the hotel. The confused staff member then disappeared for 45mins, my parents fell asleep on the seats at reception. At approx 1am we were given access to the suite and an apology as it was just given a basic clean. I was advised to speak to the manager the next day, the next day was the funeral so we did not speak with the manager and the other staff I spoke with said we shouldn't need to complain as we go a room in the end. Security was not a concern at this location, neither is customer service I emailed a more detailed summary of this experience directly to the manager and a month later I have had still received no reply. I would not recommend, especially not for lone female travelers.

Everything was great!

As usual, the staff at the Marriott Residence, Courtyard and boutique hotels were very engaging, welcoming and responsive. Our suite was spacious, private, quiet, tidy and familiar. The bathrooms were very clean and completely functional. It is obvious that housekeeping takes pride in their work and deserves an enthusiastic shout out. The reception and common areas were well presented. Breakfast was generous, well prepared and supervised. Parking is ample and convenient. While the facility is dated, it is clear that the hotel operations are aligned with the entire staff from the person who waters the outdoor planters, to the service vendors, to the visible yet un-intrusive staff. We had a most pleasant visit and I have no hesitation offering a solid 10 rating for hospitality at this model facility.

Courteous staff, clean rooms, convenient parking. Absolutely nothing to complain of and no suggestions for improvements. Very pleasant stay.

Clean,friendly & very comfortable room

This was only 5 minutes from our son and was the perfect place to stay. It’s quite and safe and the room was large.

The hotel boasts a convenient location, with downtown Tampa just a short distance away. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. However, the cleanliness fell short of expectations. I found dead cockroaches near the bed and nightstand, and the shower was not thoroughly cleaned. Additionally, the bathroom exhaust fan was damaged. The breakfast was basic and traditional, similar to what other hotels offer with their inclusive breakfast packages. Overall, I would rate my stay 3 out of 5 stars.
