Super 8 by Wyndham Fairview Heights-St. Louis

There was no hairdryer in the bathroom and the mounting bracket for where a hairdryer should’ve been was ripped off the walls, and there were holes in the walls where they had tried to fill it with by pushing toilet paper into the holes, the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work the very first light that you should’ve been able to turn on in the room when you walk in, did not work. The stairway leading up to the room was very dirty and grungy, the refrigerator had dried stuff in it that looked like something had spilled and was not wiped clean/disinfected. The key cards quit working after the first night and we had to go down to the hotel lobby to get new ones because we were locked out of our room at that point, and we waited for almost 10 minutes before someone even came to the front desk to help us. tried calling the front desk, but nobody answered. Horrible hotel experience! I will never book a room there again, although the online pictures make the hotel look fabulous, that definitely is not the case!

Whenever ICE came there and was asking about the people staying there. I know that fairview Heights police work closely with the motels and, monitor the list of names of people staying there. If you have a warrant and don't want to go to jail don't check into a motel in that city

I had a room to try to sleep in while out of town ... That's about all

When I got to my room the unit that controls the temperature was completely off the room was over 80 degrees. The room was right in front of the hotel so all the light shined bright into my room and the thick curtains wouldn't close all the way without covering the unit the control the temperature in the room. I ended up leaving before the sun was up because I couldn't sleep. Not to mention the toilet that ran all night long because the chain was too long inside it causing it to get stuck Everytime you flushed.

It was cheap and had an easy check in/ out process.

Newmax was on in the lobby and that was a bummer. It’s just a bad vibe to start the day with honestly. I get that people like the news but something a bit more neutral in tone would be better. The floors felt dirty in the room and bathrooms. I didn’t want to have my shoes off. Only one outlet worked. The room also smelled a little musty and moldy.
