FYI, this hotel is in Dunbar- NOT Charleston (Charleston has their own Super 8). Anyway the check-in staff (shout out to Donna!) was super nice and just what two very tired travellers needed. The hotel is decent and the complimentary breakfast was a pretty good spread. The room itself could use some updates... the carpet was dingy and felt a little moist, the bathroom had some stain/rust wear and tear. Other than that, it was a good room and a fine stay.

"Was not a good experience."

The air conditioner worked well.

I only needed a place to shower and sleep for about six hours. I do not expect greatness at this price point but this hotel fell far short of being even slightly satisfactory. The building smelled of mold or tobacco. My two biggest problems were an excess of cobwebs on the ceiling, not just the corners but multiple cobwebs hanging throughout the room. My single largest concern was the bed, it was just slightly more plush than a set of box springs. I was shocked when I first sat down on the edge at the poor quality. It was so uncomfortable that sleep was almost impossible. I read a lot of positive reviews on the website and I do not want to suggest they are fictitious but they do not reflect my experience at all. I'll just say this in closing, if the other reviews are correct then if they try to put you in room 205, ask for different room.

Pretty good stay. Real cool about pets and that's a major plus. Pretty clean except the fridge had left over food. Would stay here again.
