Super 8 by Wyndham Martinsburg

It wasn't at all what I expected for one thing had to stay extra nights so I thought I would get the extra nights at same price I booked on hotel com but I didn't had to pay more. The room had roaches and a mildew smell in carpet. I had to deal with it cause I couldn't afford anything else. Still I would of thought it would of been a better experience than I endured. And website stated continental breakfast which it did not have, that was reason I booked there to begin with, and wasn't told this until after I was charged on my bank card then there was no refund very disappointed. But again worst of it all was the fact that I had to pay extra money to stay extra nights and it looks like I'm gonna have to extend my stay again so once again I'm sure I'll be charged more money than I originally paid from the start and I never checked out when I extended the stay so I think I should of been charged the original quote, or at least a decent discount. And I also think the fact that a deposit is required should be mentioned on the website. Just not at all what I expected. And for the record I checked with another hotel in the area and if you have to extend your stay and don't check out you're charged same rate as you were charged when you first booked on line, wish I knew that before I chose Super 8. The staff was pretty good tho.

The hotel was ok, but it's listed as serving breakfast, but all that is available is coffee. The reason we chose that location was because they were to have breakfast. That was disappointing.

I would stay there again. There was no breakfast, only coffee, even though the sign said that a light breakfast would be served between 6 and 9. The room was super clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very polite and accommodating.

The two pillows were thin and flat as well as the towels. No breakfast item as listed online. Window at ground level was unlocked and opened. It did eventually get locked.Security was not good as the extra swing lock was busted.

Very nice room and clean, in a great location. No any kind of breakfast, just coffee, they need more.

Stayed for a week before moving into our new home. Hotel smelled horrible, there was no breakfast served, and they charged a different amount than the email confirmation from Wyndham (booked directly). We paid for a dog friendly room, and a daily dog fee. Carpet was damaged in room, 2 weeks after stay they charged me $150 with no notice. Called front desk said it was for carpet damage and they had before and after pics. Asked for pics, she said she would have manager sent pics. Never did, left follow up message and email, no reply. Emailed Wyndham Corporate, took 2 weeks to reply, the response was to call the hotel. Replied that I did and no one replied, never did get a response. Why would they have before pics if there was no previous damage?! This place is a scam, stay FAR away!!

Excellent location, room was very nice. No breakfast, we were hoping for more than coffee

My fiancée and I stayed at this hotel for about 3 weeks and had no issues…until check out. I thought check out was at noon but the owner came to me at 11 to say check out was at 11. She extended us to 11:30 and stated if we were not out by then we would incur a charge. We were out at 11:23. When we asked for the deposit back, the owner stated that we could not have it because my fiancée drove too fast in the driveway about an hour earlier and “the UPS man complained”. I was under the impression that security deposits were only kept if there was something wrong with the room upon check out…not for driving a bit too fast. Maybe a stern warning for the driving but not $50! I will take this as far as I have to by complaining on every site until I get my money back!

I stayed for over a week and was very comfortable. I'm sure you could pay more $$ than necessary somewhere else if you want fluff, but the bed was very comfortable, the room and grounds where clean, and the owners were very kind and accommodating. There is a laundry room available for a charge (understandably), and plenty of stores near by for any other needs. I had everything I needed and wanted. I will need to travel back to Martinsburg for a similar length of time and, without question, this is where I will stay.

False advertisement!! Does not look like pictures on website!! Rooms are very outdated. Room could of been cleaner. Shower water not going down drain while taking a shower!! This hotel and room where just plain nasty
