Super 8 by Wyndham Martinsburg

The gentleman at check-in was very nice. The room had an emergency exit, the door had paper stuffed under it to keep things from crawling into the room. The door (room 101) did not have the safety latch. The bed spread looked soiled and so did the blanket. I covered the bed with a sheet from home and slept on my own bedding. Finally figured out the TV system. (Had to move the box on top of the cabinet to the forefront so remote would work. Bathroom was clean.

East checkin. Friendly staffs. Facility is in poor condition. Linen was bad in freshmen and color, like it wasn’t washed. Bathroom sink didn’t work properly. Furniture is too old. Don’t recommend to stay even for one night.

Amount charged was $30 more than outside posted price. Coffee at 6 am. 7am no one showed up. No receipt and the room smelled.Just a terrible experience...... shower had one piece of soap. Towels were ‘thin’ and yellow. Beware!

First impression was not good. The 1st floor hallway was not clean and used for materials storage from the remodel. Although the remodel was supposed to be complete. The bathroom needed to be painted. The AC looked like it was going to fall out of the wall. We came back to the room later one day and it had not been cleaned. We told them when we left that we would be out for the rest of the day. Several times there was no coffee or cups. I had to go to the office and request it. We were not there for the hotel experience. The room were basically clean. The sheets were clean. The motel was a good value for the price. However, the owners/managers have a lot to learn about running the business.

It wasn’t the worst hotel for one night, but I don’t believe we will be staying again.

It was great a really calm place I was barely at the hotel. They went to drop off toilet paper soap and towels but they didn't change or did my bed. That's my only complain. Yet I Still recommend because the place it's peacefully & price it's low .

The staff was less than friendly. Not rude, just uncaring. The rooms were very small and difficult to get around in. I found a bug in my bed the first night. Dirt in the corners. Requested a cot and had to wait until the next day (we were reserved 3 nights). The breakfasts were pathetic. 3 or 4 muffins, English muffins, ego waffles - with a toaster. No fruit. No choices for a diabetic at all really. And we had one in our group of 7. Nothing hot. Each morning we had to go and ask for towels. We checked in as 3 in one room and 4 in the other. 2 towels were left each day. Any more and we had to ask. 2 washcloths as well. I am a green person, I totally get reusing but don't share my towel or washcloth. There were 2 drawers to put clothing in. No closet- just a rod to hang a few clothes on. No storage really at all for someone staying more than one night. The curtains were falling off of the rods. It was almost impossible to close out the light. The television worked with 2 different remotes- that was difficult to figure out. Overall it was tolerable but nothing special.

Hotel clerk was very helpful and nice. But the hotel room had a bad odor, the comforter was old and disgusting, towels paper thin, and breakfast not great. This hotel is old and needs cleaning, painting, and revitalization. The price was $125 for two nights - all we did was sleep but I would probably not stay in this hotel again.
