Noah's Forest by Tifakara

Noah’s Forest by Tifakara is a small hotel close to La Fortuna. The Loca is convenient to visit most attractions sites in this area. It’s also a short drive to main town where you can find shops and nice restaurants. The bungalows are large with a lot of space to move or rest in rainy day. The furniture is simples yet comfy. In the shower you only have fixed ceiling shower heads which is not great for everyone. Bath towels and amenities were nice and in good conditions. Walkway between bungalows, lobby and restaurant are in small pebbles, beware before planning to wear high heels or other delicate shoe. You can call Uber but they are not coming to main entrance. We missed on uber before understanding they were coming to a secondary gate. Reception team was unable to clarify or us assist the first time this happened. Although this is a very relaxed and nature oriented hotel you will not feel a real nature immersion, as in some other hotels in Costa Rica, due to constant noise caused by a nearby construction site and due to sounds of music coming from other places out of the hotel. The included night walk is worth the experience but it’s in very controlled environment. You will feel you are walking in a garden during the night. It is not provided in this property, but in a sister hotel also by Tifakara. They do not run shuttles so you will have to drive or arrange transportation. Restaurante Acacia is a beautiful newly renovated structure at this hotel. We had dinner once and were not impressed. Food looked great but taste was lacking. Luckily breakfast was amazing. Partially al la carte and buffet. It’s not about quantity but about quality, and we found here the best breakfast of our Costa Rican itinerary. Staff service was impeccable both at diner and breakfast. Reception service was hit and miss. Some informations were not clearly provided. For example: there is no phone in the rooms. When we arrived we did wonder what to do in case of emergency and no one has provided guidance. Overall with would not mind repeating a stay at this hotel.

Nothing to say that was not positive. This is the new level of travel experience for us. There is nothing more that we could ask for other than it be closer to home which sadly, is not possible. This is a top notch resort that should be very proud of what they offer and the staff they employ!

I absolutely loved Noah’s Forest! The employees there were very friendly and kind. There weren’t any bugs and there was live music every night. The food, atmosphere, and nature were all amazing. The breakfast, jacuzzi, pool table, and night tour were major highlights of our stay.

We had an amazing stay! The staff truly made our experience unforgettable – a huge thank you to Irene, Allan, Johan and Jay, and surely a few others whose names we unfortunately forgot. Everyone was incredibly warm, helpful and genuinely caring throughout our stay. The area around the hotel is beautiful, full of wildlife and peaceful nature. Our room was super cozy, clean and felt like a perfect little hideaway in the forest. We are extremely happy with our stay and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We really hope to come back one day!

This was by far one of our best stays in Costa Rica, with a great location, beautiful property and great amenities it was also made even better by the staff.

Luxurious room with private jacuzzi, surrounded by jungle gardens, and all very relaxing which was what we were looking for. Beautifully designed international style restaurant overlooking the pool, with some trees, and many birds and iguanas visiting. We really enjoyed the pool, although we found the sun loungers uncomfortable & they could have benefitted from a mattress on top. We visited the sloth trail, which was a nice touch, but unfortunately the family of sloths were not around. All the staff from reception to restaurant to housekeeping were excellent - exceptionally kind & couldn’t have been more helpful & thoughtful.

Wow! Where do I begin. We had the best experience at Noah’s Forest. The location was close enough to the town and activities but far enough to get the secluded, quiet vibe. The property was absolutely beautiful! The room was so spacious and clean, and we loved the personal jacuzzi. The staff, Irene, Allan, Rey, and Johan, to name a few, really went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience. They took their time to show us around the property, even pointing out wildlife. They also recommended restaurants, and helped us book our activities while we were staying there. We are so appreciative of Noah’s Forest for making my birthday special. Looking forward to our next visit!

We had a great stay here and would recommend to any of our friends and family. For context, we are a couple in our late 20s. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and made you feel like you were in the jungle. We got to see a variety of wildlife (armadillos, birds, sloths, iguanas, etc) as well. Our room (as I believe all rooms) came with a jacuzzi and was spacious and very clean. It felt like we had our own secret oasis. From the hotel it’s only a short drive or walk to the town center which is convenient. we rented a car so we were able to drive to the town center and to any excursions but the hotel is able to help you set up any transportation you may need. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with booking different excursions for us to do around La fortuna. We worked closely with Allan and he was very kind and attentive. He made our experience so enjoyable. We would love to leave a huge thank you go Jay, Arlen, and Christian from the hotel restaurant. They were so nice, always greeted us by name and were also very attentive. We had the complementary breakfast every morning at the hotel and it was such a treat. The food was great and there were a variety of options. I loved the fresh pineapple jam, the fruit, and the coffee. We also had dinner the first night and it was delicious. Overall, this was an excellent luxury experience at a great price in our minds. We would come back in a heart beat and we were sad to leave. We hope you go and see for yourselves how great it is!
