The Lodge at Pensacola

Budget decision. A place to hide for 1 - 2 nights.

It was awful. The hotel is creepy to say the least. It was hard to find. There should be signs directing people of where the hotel is. When entering the motel, the hallways were dimly lit and there was an odor. Once we entered the room, there was a cockroach in the restroom. There were even bug guts on the walls in the room. We did not sleep well and when we went to wash up, there weren't even any wash cloths. The hotel is disgusting!! Will never stay or recommend anyone to stay at an Econo Lodge ever again.

Big red bugs crawl on the wall. The air in the room is so moist and smells nasty. There is no hair dryer in the room, no refrigerator, no microwave. This hotel needs to be upgraded.

I ended up having to stay here two Saturdays in a row.... needless to say, I was NOT looking forward to the 2nd visit. I don't think they have ever owned a vacuum cleaner.... EVER. The stairwell is so filthy. My son walked around in the room without shoes and his feet were black and sticky.... I had walked once or twice to the bathroom and my feet were filthy, too. Made everyone keep shoes on during 2nd stay. Also, they make you give a $25 deposit that you only get back if you turn in the receipt..... this is for "incidentals".... WHAT??? There is not even a phone in the room. NOT worth the cheap rate...... not worth $10. I will sleep in my car next time before sleeping here.

Mold in AC ducts. Broken bed springs. Staff was unwelcoming. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!

We pulled up and there was trash everywhere! Then We noticed the pool was closed. Who has a closed pool in the summer?! I mentioned all this to the manager and she immediately became very rude and telling me I can go somewhere else. Unfortunately I couldn't because I was on a limited budget and who knows how long it would take to get my card refunded. Their cleaning staff looked like transients just hanging around and made me feel very nervous. Then we get to the room and omg! The floor on the way to the room was filthy, the window ledges in the stairwell were covered with trash, there were holes cut into the walls in the hallway, and all this before we got to the room. In the room someone had used the toilet and didn't bother to flush, the soap chips looked used even though they were sealed in packages, the shampoo/conditioner were a joke, the mattresses were still in plastic wrap even though they had to be older than ten years, the sheets were too small and popped off the minute you sat on the bed, gum was stuck to the head board, the vent on the a/c was broken and the tv was a joke! Let's not forget the weed that was being smoked by our neighbor and blown through the vent system. I got a major headache from that. Oh and the breakfast is freezer biscuits and gravy and packaged honey buns. The coffee was good though. The only bright part of this hotel was the night shift clerk, Ed. He was very kind, funny and eager to please. The manager could take lessons from him.

This place was terrible, it was dirty they had like 2×4 as the bed frame. There wasn't even a trash can in the room. I wouldn't recommend this place for my furbabies to stay in. It was an absolutely disgusting. I will never again use hotels.com because if this is the kind of rooms you rent you people should be embarrassed & ashamed.

Pool smells like a portopotty and is filthy. Entire hotel reeks of cigarettes. Room carpet stained and filthy. No phone or blow dryer in the room. Very disappointing.

OK for the price, if you're not going to spend much time in your room. 10 to 15 minutes from the beaches. The pool was out of order.
