"Clean room, good deal for the price"

6.0

convenient location off I-10 and I-110. No frills but clean and surprisingly comfortable bed. I would stay here again.

Won't stay there again: rooms were humid, asked for non-smoking but reeked of smoking; poor quality sheets/covers

"Just a place to sleep"

6.0

The room was very outdated, not clean, bed seem to be clean, no bed bugs, pool water was not clean. It was just a cheap place to sleep. You get what you pay for almost.

"the stay was ok"

6.0

The hotel was ok. The room we stayed in had a smell to it that would not go away even after spraying it down. The cloths that stayed our bag still smelled like the room cus the smell was so heavy. But the room was clean n the staff was vey nice. The hotel needs a major remodeling. But it served its purpose.

"No electric, no pool"

4.0

We booked this hotel for the pool, to find out that the pool is closed due to some handicap law. The power went out in our room in the middle of the night. No drinks at breakfast, just boxes of cereal and little Debbie snack cakes.

"We do not recommend this hotel..."

2.0

We chose this hotel based on the price and a rating of 3 out of 5. As we drove up we noticed that the Econo Lodge road signed had been popped out. The pool was full of green algae water and closed for "renovation”. As we walked into the hotel, there was a terrible smell of cigarette smoke. The room had a mildew smell. The room was listed as a "king suite", but in reality it was a regular room with the king size bed pushed a foot away from the wall with a sofa sleeper that came right up to the bed when pulled out. We had to call for extra sheets. The phone did not work. I walked to the front desk to ask for extra bedding (which was in short supply) and found out that the switchboard was not working. So no phones for anyone. There seemed to be a shortage on toilette paper, linens and towels. The extra blanket they brought up was covered in cigarette burns. There were small holes all over the curtain also. I found hair on the sheets of the made up bed as well as on the shower wall. The first night we came back around 6:30 PM and the maid was coming out of the bedroom... at 6:30 pm?!? The last night we came back around 7:30 PM and our door had been left open by the maid. The bedding was never changed, floor never vacuumed, but she did bring fresh towels. With all this said, Hotels.com did a great job compensating us for the trouble.

"You get what you pay for"

8.0

The hotel had comfortable bed and was good enough clean. 2 minutes off I-10 and 15 from the beach. Not bad for the price. The refrigerator run off the light switch, so you need to have the light switch on to run it.

"what can you expect for the price?"

4.0

There is only so much you can expect from a hotel in that price range. But the carpet was filthy, do not increase the room temperature too much otherwise it starts smelling. Service was not very good, and the pool apparently only is there to get some more stars in the official rating. It is next to the highway and the water green like pea soup. Besides the carpet the cleanliness of the room was OK, but the room service did not do a very good job, not even resupply toilet paper that was out. Fridge and microwave are $5 each per day, and need to be brought into the room during business hours.
