Super 8 by Wyndham Joplin

We've stayed at good Super 8s and some pretty poor Super 8s, but this one set the bottom limit. I read reviews before booking. We were driving late into the night, and just wanted a clean place to sleep. It almost wasn't that. The sheets and towels should have gone to the rag bin about 3 years ago. Stairways are narrow. Babies crying in the rooms, loud TVs - just like a bad TV show as you're walking to your room. Not filthy, but not clean, either. I ended up with a horrible rash after the stay. Can't say definitively that it had anything to do with the room or the bed, but it's highly coincidental, if not. There's a reason it's the lowest rated hotel in Joplin. Sleep in your car or buck up for a better place.

Hotel stinks really bad and couldn’t get help at the front desk when I went to them because nobody was ever there

It was clean and the staff was friendly. Great location and nicely priced.

Housekeeping never cleaned my room. Dropped off towels and had to ask for toilet paper.

I liked how close it was to the restaurants

The TV didn't work, the toilet kept running. The curtains were held together by duct tape and safety pins
