Quality Inn Cortland - University Area

The only positive things I can say about this property is that the beds were a decent place to rest our heads for the night and that the staff were very friendly considering the conditions of the hotel.

From the moment we walked in, you got this overwhelming smell of must and mold that sat inside of your nose. There was no elevator so carrying all the luggage up the stairs was also a task. When you got to the stairway, it was extremely dark and smelly and the carpet was torn up and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls. Once inside of our room, the smell continued to permeate everything including the beds. The refrigerator in our room smelled like vomit and the microwave in the lobby didn’t even fit my babies bottle. The room was dirty and hadn’t been vacuumed in what looked like forever. If there was vacancy in another hotel nearby, I would’ve checked out immediately but I was forced to stay with my 2 kids. For the price of this hotel, it would’ve been nice to have much better quality. Very disappointed!

The property was convient to Cornell so that was helpful for us.

It was VERY run down. There is no elevator and even after they saw I was handicapped they did nothing to try and accommodate me. The stairwell was dark and the rug had disgusting stains all over it. The railing was sticky and gross. The rug in the hallways was so nasty dirty with stains all over it. It was worn in the places that didn’t have gross stains. The outside had a lot of cigarette butts everywhere. In our room the beds were clean but the a/c was dented and broke. The bathroom had rings where the soap was, like it wasn’t cleaned just refilled with new soap. With the amount of money they charge, especially as the triple their prices during graduation season, you’d think they’d do some basic upgrades. I’m happy to say that this will be our last visit there, it won’t be missed!

Dirty and run down. No elevator and the stairwell was dark and the rug was very gross. The stair railing was sticky and nasty. The hallway rugs are worn and dirty and have food stains, at least I hope it’s food stains. It’s just really old and run down. The rooms were so old and had peeling paper, used note pads left and the mini fridges were barely cold.

Near to cortland campus. Housekeeping staff very friendly.

No elevator, phone did not work and was filthy.hotel clearly still under renovation/construction which was not disclosed.

The room was clean and spacious

There was no elevator. My elderly mother uses a walker. It was difficult getting up to the second floor. The room did not have a microwave. The shower faucet did not work.
