Super 8 by Wyndham Salem

The parking lot was nice. The gentleman that checked me in seemed friendly , i was only planning on sleeping for a few hours and get back on the road so the price fit my budget for a nap

The building is in pretty rough shape ,it look as though the lower floor was flooded then dried out without replacing the carpet , clean but, way way long over due for updating, just dark and dingy and everything in there in there is well past its lifespan, carpet,doors,hand railing and tables are falling apart. The room were decent just not the rest of the building

The price is good.

1) Cockroaches. I read other reviews that said the same thing & I just thought they must have been written by a disgruntled customer. But, it's definitely an issue. 2) The toilet would not stop running...drain, click, refill. Over and over. My spouse even took the lid off to try to fix it but it was beyond repair. 3) The TV was just fuzz. We tried to make it work & the front desk agent even came down to try to fix it (he just did all of the stuff we already tried) to no avail. He did mumble something about changing rooms "if there's even one available". I dislike writing negative reviews, and I could probably have dealt with the toilet & tv. But Cockroaches? Nope. Not worth it.

For the price it was ok.

This place was the worst place I had ever seen. Ceiling was falling down in the bathroom. Bits of plaster all over the bathroom. Dirty and loud noise all around you. Mold everywhere. Stunk. Holy cow did it stink. It was like a curry factory. Absolutely disgusting bathrooms. I give 2 stars vs 1 only to be taken more serious. Staff looked down their nose at you. Free breakfast what a joke. What they should say is free of any breakfast. The whole place was a joke. We can laugh about it now but at the moment this was an absolute disaster of a place to stay. Health and safety services should be brought in. I did not pay attention to the reviews and thought it couldn’t be that bad. Trust me. It’s that bad
