Super 8 by Wyndham Lincoln North

Two things stood out: 1. We were not welcome. 2. The lobby smelled like a cannabis dispensary. As for my first point, Bob Marley released a song based on Haile Selassie's 1963 United Nation speech in which he elaborates, "Until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes, me say war." And for my second point, as a non-smoking property, if I was burning down in my room I'm almost certain I'd be hit with a penalty. When I walked in with my family it smelled like downtown Denver on the 20th of April! The aroma permeated our room as well. Go outside to burn like everyone else. Now, to be absolutely clear, had the hotel staff treated us as customers, (valued or not) instead of a burden, I would not be putting them on blast. Weed does not bother us, it's 2025!

It wasnt upgraded. Fan wasnt covered. Looked likeildew in the shiwer curtain.

The keys to the rooms were finicky and a little hard to use.

Upon checking in I explained that we booked through hotels.com and had already prepaid. The next day I had a charge for the full night stay (and deposit which I knew would fall off). A week later the charge was still there. Make sure you are checked in correctly! We had asked for a crib and they didn’t have one available. When I had asked the front desk the next morning about the extra charge I was told to talk to a manager in a week. Breakfast was bagels, raisin bread, some cereal and yogurt. Beds were uncomfortable. It’s not the best area of Lincoln. We were traveling through and just needed to sleep. They leave a black wash rag in the bathroom in case you make a “mess.” They basically don’t want you to ruin their white towels. We did have a uhaul with a lock and valuables on the car and in and surprisingly no one messed with it. I think this hotel is geared more towards men who are working on the road.

The price was right and it was clean.

Difficult to access the property, very unorganized staff, booked a room with 2 double beds, didnt have when iwe got there, ended up with 1 queen size bed and a roll away, made the room very cramped. Batteries in remote dead, key card did not work. As we were long way from front desk took forever standing in hall waiting for front desk girl to return with working keys, had to ask for pillows for roll away. No decaf coffee choice, limited breakfast items. Property clean but !!!!

The room was nice and clean, our bathroom roor would not shut and lock, our mail door was hard to open. I asked the front desk lady (did not catch her name) for some extra towels the morning of check out. (I had the 3pm check out) she stated; "why do you need more towels when you're checking out today?) I just asked one more time and walked away and found a housekeeper. Front lady's attitude was very unprofessional. We stay here all the time and I will not be returning to this hotel.
