FairBridge Inn Express Mount Vernon

This hotel has come a long way. They have improved greatly. It has a nice clean look and the staff are really sweet. They had clean linens and the rooms are very clean. I'm very impressed with the staff and the great lengths they have went to to improve this place.

Arrived at motel an hour after check-in time began. Found nobody at desk. No bell to ring, so I yelled, "HELLO?" several times with no response. Walked down hallway, couldn't find anyone. Yelled, "IS ANYONE HERE?!?" down the halls....nothing. Finally a young boy asked me what i wanted.

Over priced for what it is. Room smelled of midew. Train crossing right next to the hotel and train tracks maybe 100 feet away. No pool.

Staff was helpful and freindly.

Not really in a big town

Toilet paper and soap was very cheap. Multiple spiders in room. Water was high pressure and warm. Staff was nice but staff family stares at you when you're in your car. Breakfast was free but not much more than waffles or cereal. TV, fridge, and AC all worked well. Bed was stained and uncomfortable, pillows sucked. Room floor was hard with no carpet.

We came down to Mt. Vernon for a family wedding. Upon arrival, we were a little concerned with the place looking outdated. However, upon entering the hotel, many updates are being made. The weight room and swimming pool were under renovation. The room was CLEAN and the staff was friendly. The price was also very reasonable. We were even able to have a late checkout! If we have to return to the area, this no-frills place is where we will stay again!

The first night the tv was poor didnt get but 2 channels on tv. There was an odd smell to the hotel. The second night we came back after our daughters wedding to find roach on the night stand and several in the bathroom. When i informed front desk in morning when they opened all i was told was they where sorry.

There is simply no other way to say it - this Is a sub standard, trashy, low quality hotel. It is absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed in in my life. It is terribly run down, smelly, and the service was non-existent. The usual expected amenities were promised and not delivered. Internet was so slow as to be on usable. Breakfast consisted of bagels and a do it your self waffle machine. We stayed two nights and our room was not cleaned at all. We did not receive clean towels for the second day. There was never any staff available at the front desk. The place was so bad we actually packed up on the second night and drove 500 miles to be in our home. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! As a sidenote to Travelocity: this establishment should be removed from your website. No one should ever stay here, ever.

The property was decent. I feel frustrated because I paid for a nonsmoking room and clearly someone had smoked in that room previously.! I cannot handle allergens, such as, smoke and woke up about every 45 mins throughout the night because my nose was severely “stopped up.”
