Old decor but clean, convenient, staff very helpful and nice. Will stay again.

One of the few hotels that still has smoking rooms

Check in was great and the night staff was wonderful. The older gentleman that I checked out with in the morning was great. Very polite and helpful. Let me know breakfast was ready and I could help myself around the corner.

Here is where my stay took the turn. As my son and I were quickly grabbing our breakfast to go (as we were already running a little behind) my son was standing behind me so I had grabbed 2 honey buns for him and 2 for myself as that was all we were going to take. As I turned around to hand him his a female staff member made the comment " we dont mind if you have 1 or maybe 2 but if you want more than that there is a Walmart for that". I did not feel that was an appropriate comment that needed to be made. I was so stunned by her comment I didnt even say anything. I just walked out. I had an all day event and a long drive back home and lots of time to think on this situation and I will be calling to report it in the morning.

The location was close to main highways. Breakfast had 2 types of cereal, choice for toast or bagel. I did not look to see if there was any cream cheese. There was yogurt, but not sure if there were different flavors and a waffle maker. Pretty basic, but being that the nightly cost was good, I didn't expect much, but would have loved a little more selection to choose from. I would rate 3 out of 5 stars. The staff kept the area clean, which is appreciated. Our room was clean and comfortable for the night. Pleasantly surprised.

Check in and check out were easy. We were not offered a receipt upon leaving, just to make sure the cost matched what we were expecting. Check out person was not very personable. Check in person was very friendly but didn't mention what time breakfast was served, but made a phone call to our room to see if everything with our room was good, so we asked about breakfast hours.
