Excellent host, very helpful great local knowledge. Beautiful property, well thought out and designed, very clean facilities. Creativity par excellence, loved the little touches in each room. This property is built around printing and book publishing. If you like discovering local produce and foods, this is the place to come, the breakfast was a show case of local foods. Great place to discover Sicilian foods.

We LOVED our stay at Casa VerbaVolant. This was by far the best accommodation we had during our 5 city stay in Sicily. The communication before arrival was excellent and parking was easy. There is a car park garage about ten minutes down the road for 15 euro a day. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Fausta and Elio- both of whom speak fluent English. They explained everything we needed to know about the property and shared with us all the details of the B&B. The amount of thought and detail that they have put into their property is incredible! All of the signs everywhere explaining things and the conveniences that they have provided for you are so awesome. They have tea, coffee, water, beach towels, a community kitchen, and a laundry facility. The decor and design of the whole place is so beautiful and clever. The rooms are bright and comfortable. Best beds of our stay. Everything is so clean and neat, and they even have daily cleaning service for the room. We stayed for three nights and so we were lucky enough to partake in three delightful breakfasts! The thought and work that goes into the many treats laid before you at breakfast is incredible. It’s an amazing spread of all sorts of local specialities. They even go one step further and offer special coffee drinks. I was so impressed with their offerings as well as their explanations of the food each morning. Not only did the accommodation and breakfasts make our stay wonderful, but Fausta and Elio did as well. They were both so kind and generous. Talking with them and learning from them really made our stay special. We are very grateful for their hard work. If you’re coming to Ortigia and want a one of a kind experience with locals or just a comfortable, clean place, with a great location- this is the place to stay!!

It was a great flat, in a great location with fantastic hosts. It was clean and spacious with an ensuite toilet and sink for the main bedroom. There was a separate bathroom with shower serving all rooms. There was air con in the main living room, and the two larger bedrooms. The smaller bedroom didn't have air con but it did have a fan. The hosts were available most of the day, up to 9:30pm, to answer any queries on WhatsApp. Often the replies came back in seconds rather than minutes! They also lent us towels and parasols so we could enjoy the local beaches. The building has a library room which residents have access to and can borrow books from. Residents can also stay and read books there. The breakfast, for €10, is excellent value and a work of art: a smorgasbord of local delights and flavours - we loved it and would highly recommend it!

Minor issues - if it had been hotter not having air con in the smaller bedroom would have been an issue. The only other minor quibble was that the windows in the main room were quite small which makes the room feel a little enclosed

We loved everything about our stay! The warm welcome by Fausta and Elio, the beautiful room in a fantastic location and the delicious Sicilian breakfasts which change everyday. We learnt so much about the sources and background of regional foods. They publish books and collect typewriters so the rooms are decorated to reflect their passions and interests! I loved seeing their book collection and quirky decorations. We were in the Triumph room.

Everything was perfect! We stayed in The Remington and enjoyed our balcony and view. The room was well equipped and spotless, and the bed and linens were very comfortable. The location couldn't have been better. Excellent host and service--definitely a 10 out of 10!!!

Nous avons tout aimé.L’emplacement,le cadre atypique avec des machines à écrire partout,la déco,l’accueil et la qualité des petits déjeuners. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.Vous ne serez pas déçu.Nous on a adoré❤️ Un grand Merci à Fausta et son compagnon.Vous êtes au top👍

Excellent communication & advice getting from airport. Good info sheet with restaurants and such. Location is 10/10 in the street/alley with many restaurant and cafe close to cathedral, fountain and marina. Acoustic windows which when closed completely shut out street noise.

The location was in the heart of Ortigia. We loved meeting Fausta & Elio & they were easy to deal with, helpful & answered & attended to all queries. The dido apartment was large, clean, spacious with fully equipped kitchen, dish washer & aircon. There is a small view of the east & west side of the sea. My son loved the typewriter in the apartment & typed everyday

In the main bedroom, 1 of the windows doesn’t have block out curtains so this could be a problem in summer. It didn’t bother us at all. The shower in the bathroom is very small but once again not a problem for us .
