The breakfast was a lovely spread. As usual a few items on demand for vegetarians but no complains. Beach view was great. Room was lovely and had all the amenities.

1. The room service was putrid. They would forget orders, not pick up calls and just disappear making us wait for us food for hours. 2. We went for a walk along the beach and came back bitten by sand flies. Assumed it was the hotel's responsibility to either fumigate the surroundings or keep us warned.

Die Distanz zum Flughafen war sehr groß, ebenso die Distanz zum Meer. Der Pool hätte auch sauberer sein können und die Laufwege zum Zimmer waren extrem weit.

The property itself is good, that they have the beach. Just that I'm not a fan of the horse riding as the smell is so freaking strong you can even smell the poop at the beach... and it adds up more hygiene problem... Like I got flea bites.

The horse riding poop smell, in which should be removed. The restaurants, menus and choices are so limited... They didn't even check the lights in my room whether if they are functioning or not, specifically the Balcony Light, Working Desk Light and etc. Breakfast buffet's choice is so limited...

Shangri-la is in fact hyped up for good reason. It absolutely delivers exceptional services to guests. I opted to upgrade my suite from the garden wing to the ocean wing which was absolutely stunning. Every single person that works in the resort will always greet you with a smile and respect. I appreciate that from the staff. All staff members are friendly and extremely helpful. I would certainly book into a Shangri-la premium suites.

The property is slightly outdated. There is evidence of wear and tear on some of the furniture and ceilings with visible patches. Snacks are only provided on initial check-in. Unfortunately there was no restock on the snacks on make up room. The food is mediocre for the price with the exception of Oceano and the breakfast buffet. I can’t speak about other restaurants on the property but the pool area food and cafe food are expensive for very subpar food. Oceano was incredible but of course, quite expensive too. Some days we opted to buy food through grab just because there was a lack of variety and insane pricing. There was a storm in the Philippines which affected the beach area. With trash littering the shore.

Pomimo swoich rozmiarów hotel w ogóle nie sprawia wrażenia przytłaczającego molocha. Jest świetnie zaprojektowany pod kątem wypoczynku – basenów i leżaków jest pod dostatkiem, a cały teren jest zadbany i dobrze przemyślany. Pokoje są bardzo przestronne i świetnie wyposażone. Dużym atutem są obszerne wanny na tarasach, które idealnie sprawdzają się podczas wieczornego relaksu. Śniadania oraz posiłki w restauracjach są bardzo smaczne i urozmaicone. Na szczególne wyróżnienie zasługuje również obsługa – profesjonalna, pomocna i na najwyższym poziomie. Dużym plusem są także dodatkowe atrakcje, takie jak możliwość pływania katamaranem, jazdy na skuterach wodnych czy konno. Dodatkową zaletą jest bezpośrednie sąsiedztwo dżungli, która tworzy wyjątkowy klimat tego miejsca. Szkoda jedynie, że nie można jej samodzielnie eksplorować.

Ceny w niektórych hotelowych restauracjach bywają bardzo wysokie i momentami wydają się niewspółmierne do oferty. Widać też miejscami upływ czasu – zdarzy się niedziałająca lampka czy drobne uszkodzenie wykończenia. Są to jednak detale, które nie wpływają znacząco na odbiór obiektu.
