Corinthia Hotel St Petersburg

Corinthia is somewhat of a legacy hotel so expect lots of luxury, pomp and splendour in their offerings. Was annoyed at their additional charge for early check-in. According to hotels.com its 24hour checkin, but when we arrived at 6:30am, we had to pay about $150 for early checkin (9am check-in), or wait till 2pm. Coming from a 4am flight, it is annoying to have to pay extra to check in when no mention of early check-in costs appear on hotels.com site Apart from that sour taste, the rest of the stay was A+ We took the executive room which offer the club lounge access. Big bonus as you can pop in there throughout the day for light snacks, drinks, tea, coffee etc etc. Rooms are spacious with luxurious bedding, and serviced daily along with evening turndown service. Bathroom was spotless with a little bidet trigger tap, shower could be a bit big but still all very well laid out. Breakfast spread is HUGE. Tons of options from eggs to salads to cheeses, fresh fruits, cold press juices, etc etc. Something for everyone. Location is in a busy part of Nevsky Prospekt, a short 5minute walk to galeria mall and less then 2 minutes to the local Metro line. TONS of little eateries, supermarkets, coffee shops etc all in the area. Room wifi was a winner! 50meg+ fibre line meant we could easily catch-up on emails, work, etc etc At all

Breakfast menu was excellent - GYM was good but could have done with some more exercise options - e.g. rowing machine

Location and building are great. But the level of service is not equal to the price.

Hotel was good. Lady at the concierge desk charged 3 of us, 13,000 Roubles each for a 5 hour of Peterhof Palace whereas we could have done it on our own for 3,000 Roubles each including travel. She misinformed us that if we did it on our own it would cost 9,000 Roubles each.

The Hotel is satisfactory, but not for areas along the Main Street: Nevskly Pr. Pick pockets are on the bus. We were being blocked by 4 big guys on No.7 bus and our wallet had been stolen by these pick pockets. Never ride on this bus again, as we were told by the hotel staff later, same incidents had been occurred on this No7 bus. Also, must beware of the vendors in the district around the cathedral of the Savior of the Spilled Blood. They made up excuses to threaten visitors to give them money. Just like thieves.

Nice hotel. Great location on main street. Good service. Poor fitness facilities.

Nice locations and good area. Convenient to everywhere and close to Metro and buses.

Very pleasant experience. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is clean.
