Nice onsen, clean and tidy, lovely area in the mountains

The kitchen was not good. Over 3 days we didn't have one enjoyable meal.

De (buiten)onsen waren ruim en mooi - de namiddagzon valt er in.

Ik had gehoopt in de directe omgeving mooie wandelingen te vinden. Wel indrukwekkend - op rij-afstand - waren de Maruyama Senmaida rijstterrassen.

Tout. Le onsen, le personnel, les futons confortables. Le resto est très bon aussi. Un peu Isolé, mais parfait pour nous, c'est ce qu'on cherchait.

The onsen here is fantastic. Natural spring water and very spacious. Sauna and plunge pool available, along with an open air pool.

The food is very traditional Japanese, which perhaps doesn't suit a western palate. Be cautious of the breakfast. Room had a funny smell. Location is very remote with no activities locally. Generally we felt this wasn't worth the cost.
