"Disappointed hotel"

Even though the price is really expensive, it doesn’t deserve to high price. The room is less spacious and customer service is not satisfactory. Swimming pool is small and no Jacuzzi.

Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The view and the staff were exceptional. We did not agree with the additional $100+ in room charges. For example, 2 adults and 2 children, under 12, were charged a resort fee PER PERSON per room. Noone used the exercise room or other perks; after sight-seeing during the day, there was no sunset view swimming as the pool closed at 6 pm. and only 1 "free" tote bag per room, although 4 charged a resort fee, for example, a feeling of price gouging. The nearby International Market is a must to see.

"Historic Charm Right on Waikiki Beach 🌺🏖️"

The Moana Surfrider is absolutely beautiful, both inside and out. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the history and charm of this iconic Waikiki hotel. I especially enjoyed reading about the hotel’s rich past and learning more about its place in Hawaiian history. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. One of the best features is the unbeatable beachfront location. Stepping right onto the sand and enjoying the waves just outside the hotel was incredible. If you’re looking for a property that combines historic elegance, stunning ocean views, and a prime Waikiki location, the Moana Surfrider is a wonderful choice. I would happily stay here again!

"Hotel exceeded our expectations, cost of parking ridiculous!!!"

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at the hotel. Clean rooms with lots of space. Elevators are a bit busy at times. Location is great walking distance to pretty much everything downtown. Staff was super friendly, treat Marriott clients great. The pool is a bit of a joke, too small, too busy and people abuse the saving chairs all day. Final rant…. $64 for valet parking per day!….only option… complete joke.

"Great location, but amenities were meh"

We stayed at the Banyan rooms and they were just ok. The bathroom, even after a remodel, was quite small and didn’t seem to have much modern fixtures. We were on the 5th floor with a city view and could hear the noise on the main street fairly well. The pool was small and so many campers cop pool chairs without using them most of the day, albeit it’s kinda hard to be mad about that when there is direct access to the beach. The resort fee was absurd. My family and I didn’t use any of the services included with the fee. As a lifetime platinum member, it was nice to get the $40 for two people per day to be used at the cafe. Instead of the continental breakfast, we used it for breakfast, lunch, beverage, and ice cream items throughout operating hours. If I were to stay here again, I’d probably go for the Tower rooms and stay at a much higher floor facing the ocean.

"Great stay and renovation"

First time staying back at the Moana Surfrider since the recent renovation and it was great as expected. The lobby area has been beautifully re-done and retains a classic, elegant feel. We stayed in a Tower Diamond Head Ocean view room which was clean, spacious and had great views. The hotel pool is small with limited seating available so something to consider if you’re a pool person. A big thanks to Josh on the front desk who provided wonderful service at check-in and to housekeeping who did a great job during our stay.

"Best hotel in the world"

Best hotel in the world! We stayed in a room with a view out to the ocean and of diamond head. Loved the location right on Waikiki, and the big banyon tree by the pool was always a nice spot to relax on our trip and escape the sun. The on site restaurant had the best steak frites. The steak was so tender and delicious, one of my favourite meals from the trip. The only downside is how slow the elevator is.
