Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, Waikiki Beach

Had a fantastic experience staying 7 nights/6 days in an oceanfront tower room with lanai. We got welcomed with Lei, got a body lotion and some cookies as welcome gift. We would always have water in the room thanks to the resort. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and the view was breathtaking. Its location was in the center of Waikiki with major department stores, restaurants and waikiki beach right at our doorstep. I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation in Oahu, Hawaii and will always stay in this property if I return

I had the most wonderful experience! The staff was incredibly kind, especially Tomomi who made this truly the best facial I've ever had! The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful oceanside views are impossible to beat. Numerous amenities to choose from like the sauna, whirlpool, refreshing tea and snacks! I highly recommend this spa!

Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa is absolutely beautiful. The property is immaculate, the atmosphere feels like a dream, and every staff member l encountered was exceptional. ... lenjoyed breakfast at The Veranda and dinners at Beach House at the Moana, both were excellent with stunning ocean views. A perfect Waikiki stay with outstanding service and charm.

This is the first hotel I have ever left early due to a negative experience. We ultimately relocated to another accommodation and forfeited money as a result of unprofessional staff, limited amenities, and frequent undisclosed fees. What should have been a highlight of our honeymoon instead became one of its lowest points. Staff refused to store oversized luggage, valet service was slow and discourteous, and staff appeared irritated when asked routine questions. Each time we returned from the beach or pool, we felt unwelcome, as though staff were questioning whether we were legitimate guests. This hotel is not well suited for families or couples, and we would strongly advise prospective guests to consider alternative accommodations.

Noisy, plumbing did not work properly

Location was in a very busy part of the city. Restaurants and nearby attractions are very close by. The atmosphere was quite busy on the main floor. The rooms were very nice and spacious. The views of Diamond Head were outstanding. The cleanliness of the hotel was top notch. Service was exceptional. Nancy at the pool side bar was great! The beach area was crowded and the lack of a hot tub was my only complaints. Overall, a very good stay

I was contacted by a Hilton rep. via for the Moana Surfrider. They asked if I was celebrating anything, I mentioned that my wife and I were on our honeymoon. They asked for our arrival and departure times, I provided them and requested a late check out. The email said that our requests were acknowledged. I come to find that this was all BS, the front desk staff was surprised that the rep. even asked for our scheduled times as the system automatically checks us in/out. There was no flexibility, no apology for locking us out of our rooms at 6am, auto-checking us out at 3am because of a billing issue. It felt like we were Shoved out of the hotel on our last day. Very disappointing. Furthermore our room was not what we expected. A king bed with an ocean view is what I purchased. I got a view off the hotel next door and if I peaked to the right I got a partial ocean view. Also the room was dirty and not well maintained. The TV, tables, and coffee maker had a thick layer of dust on them. The TV was so damaged and old it was not worth using. The closet door was broken. The charging outlets were damaged so the plugs fell out. Not the quality I expected for spending $4,000+.
