"Good property but unhappy with check-in"

Everything always has been alright in Aloft Kathmandu but only issue I have always faced is the time taken in checking-in. They always made me wait for hours even when I had requested for early check-in. I understand early check-in based on availability. However being a platinum member, I have found this issue mostly in this property only. Rest, the staff are good and service is commendable. Location is central and close to popular markets. Also, I have never been lucky for room upgrade not just this visit but in all stays in this property. The staff at reception is pleasant and helpful. Staff at lounge is also good and serves quite well. I chose this property over Kathmandu Marriott and Fairfield but its always only the above issue else I like to stay here.

"WXYZ Thamel's amazing service"

I visited the WXYZ bar quite a few times during my recent stay at Aloft Kathmandu. I was amazed with the hospitality and service provided by Sajan, Hiroj, Chandra and Santosh. The pool just next to the bar is quite fun to spend times with friends and since it's in the lobby, it's convenient to wait for visitors and business meetings. While staying at Aloft has always been pleasant experience, the WXYZ bar troop took my experience to the next level.

Comfortable bed and great shower. Appreciated upgrade. Only a one night, short stay unfortunately. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Very busy and common areas like breakfast buffet congested.
