RedDoorz Resort @ Taman Wisata Mangrove

I book for mangrove, but reddoorz change my accommodation to somewhere far. The hotel does not allow to pay by credit card and the staff ask me to change room the next day

Spacious, mangroves and wildlife all around

Low maintenance, noisy, mosquitos

The location is in the middle of mangrove forest in northern Jakarta, where we have our group event. The hotel offers different experiences compare to other place. They have lots of outdoor activities such as mangrove planting and canoing. They also have cafe and small shops for visitors during the day. The facilities are quite old, but they maintained it well.

All good. But you need to prepare snacks and other meals for the stay because you can't go to nearby restaurants on foot at night.

+location, close to the airport, amazing nature, peace and tranquility, oasis of paradise nature in the middle of super busy Jakarta, +Very few mosquitos for being around water. + plenty of places to hang out outdoors + safe, even for arriving when dark + helpful staff even if little English, by WhatsApp works well

- no possibility to open window in the bedroom

Never felt more unsafe at a hotel before. Staff were young clueless teenagers with very little conversational skills. Got taken to my room by one of them, the room was interesting but the novelty of staying in a mangrove forest soon wore off and ended up feeling very eerie. I arrived back late after some food and I found the path I’d used to get to my room before completely flooded, and had to ask to find another way to my room which ended in me wading through dirty water. Bed sheets and towels had marks/stains on and the overall cleanliness of the room was poor.

A great place to stay for a night if you have a short time in Jakarta and arriving or leaving by plane. 15-20 minutes by car from the airport. Also very interesting. spot the monitor lizards and appreciate the mangroves. A very good room for the money

Anyone arriving in the evening should bring takeaway food and everything you need to see you through the night. Otherwise your food option is limited to a bun from the vending machine. nowher eto get hot water after dark either. I was later told food could be ordered online but I had no chance to test that.
