The Georgian House

Lovely quirky hotel, fascinating decor throughout with a homely feel. Exceptional service at breakfast with a wonderful choice. Great setting near the harbour with a number of pubs and restaurants and bracing coastal walks.

Good breakfast

Serious confusion over my booking. Extremely dangerous half-hidden step immediately after you go through the front door. The staff seemed unconcerned when I mentioned this. They should put up a large warning notice on the front door.

Beautiful Georgian building,old but well preserved. On arrival Sharon was lovely and made us feel at home and that is how it was for our stay.

Nothing other than having the suite...it was sumptuous 😁

Beautiful period house maintained and presented to an exceptional standard. Superb breakfast with an excellent choice.

One very small gripe. We were upgraded to the best room in the house (thanks Keith).The bathroom is some distance from the bedroom (a step is involved) and the lack of lighting during the night was some concern as my wife tripped on return from the bathroom. Fortunately no damage was done but the introduction of some low level lighting (cheap socket lights are available) would mitigate against similar problems in the future.

Even though it is situated in the town it was very quiet throughout the night. The bed was very comfortable. An enjoyable, well cooked breakfast. A very welcoming, friendly guest house.

We had a wonderful stay at The Georgian House in Watchet. Keith and Sharon were amazing hosts, the room was comfortable and relaxing, and breakfast was delicious. Perfect location too, just a short walk to the harbour, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend!
