The Georgian House

Staying at The Georgian House is like going back in time and sleeping in an antiques shop - from the decor, to the ornaments, and the furniture - and we loved it! Comfy bed - in fact had the best nights sleep in ages. Keith & Sharon were great hosts, and the home cooked breakfast was delicious.

Our bathroom was functional - everything worked. But could do with updating.

The breakfast was excellent - very good quality and more than sufficient.

The towels were very old

A beautiful homely house in a great location. Keith and Sharon could not have been more welcoming, and the breakfast was fabulous!

Staff were really friendly. Lovely old house with loads of character. Bed was comfy and breakfast was lush!

This IS a real Georgian house that has been restored, decorated and furnished in the appropriate style. There are outstanding touches but nothing over done. We felt completely happy and at home here. The owner and house keeper do a first class and welcoming job, not omitting the excellent English breakfast and dining room presentation..

The breakfast period is a bit limiting if you want an early start. Car-park, although very near but you need to dash out at 9AM to pay, which could be in the middle of breakfast, but actually one can pay before the paying time starts and that is taken into account on the ticket, so not so bad.

Our second stay here. Very comfortable and excellent breakfast.
