Staff were fantastic, really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, had a choice of cereal, toast etc. Was told that it was just traditional cooked breakfast if you wanted hot food. Reduced menu on evening meals but this was to be expected and not an issue. Disappointed with overall cleanliness given the current situation. Hair on bed, dust and room safe still had items left in it from previous guests. I’m wondering if the cleaning team are given enough time to deep clean each room. Visited the pool, the changing rooms were tired looking and a bit grubby.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful the room was clean but the only thing that was disappointing is the price of drinks in the bar everything else was good

They had very good Covid-safe systems in place. Room clean and comfortable. Bathroom a little bit dated, needs freshening up

First time back since lockdiwn & found things changed a little but the service just as good.

Rooms very basic and outdated. Not that clean and in need of some repair.

Lovely building but rooms very tired, could hear people walk past all night, car park busy with car wash, good staff.

It wasn't in St Albans, it was a couple of miles outside. The pool was shut, and it was run down. Night light in the hall didnt work and wasnt replaced as requested

We had a small misunderstanding with our reservation. The friendly staff did a great job of helping to resolve the problem. We were very grateful and had a lovely stay, seeing our family for the first time since lockdown. Definitely recommend - we’ll be back!
