Travelodge by Wyndham Vancouver Airport

The location was great and the staff friendly. That is where the positives end. The hotel is in need of a major upgrade. The elevators are old and very slow. Our room, despite being clean, was outdated and drab. There are no outlets to charge electronic devices. Most of the conveniently placed electrical outlets did not work (ie in lamp bases) and the one outlet in the bathroom did not work at all leaving us trying to find somewhere to plug in a hairdryer in the room. The bed was extremely hard, not just firm. Very skimpy on pillows, I had to go and ask for more since 3 small ones were not enough for 2 people. The ac, which was needed, was very noisy - thankfully one of us is deaf and the other carries earplugs. Overall, if you find the rates better than anywhere else go for it but “buyer beware”.

In one of the bathrooms, we found a cockroach in the tube. In one of the beds, the mattress is not flat; it feels uncomfortable to sleep on top. I booked four rooms in total and had two big problems.

Convenient location for travelling. The beds are so uncomfortable our backs were very sore after and that never is an issue with us

No dirty dirty gross

Great budget hotel. Close to public transportation and airport. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Would have enjoyed an airport shuttle but Uber was cheap. Would stay here again.

Front desk poor!

Air conditioning didn’t work. The television was very hard to figure out. It was on some kind of time delay. But the price was right and we were just there to sleep so it didn’t really matter
