Not the greatest environment

Can I leave a zero star review? I booked a room to stay at for a wedding, I unfortunately can no longer attend said wedding. I've have been calling for weeks trying to tell them I am unable to attend and would no longer need the room. I kept getting the runaround that nobody can help me, the person I need to speak with isn't in, etc. I paid for the room, $189. I understand hotel policy, however, I have been trying to give them plenty of notice about said situation. I finally got through today, and was told I will be charged for the room again, so $400 later, I am penalized for trying to give them notice for over a period of weeks trying to give them notice. I am not in the position to afford this fee when I've been trying to contact them to attempt to avoid this situation, and possibly this review. Customer service is definitely a weak spot on their end.

The room was dirty and the sheets were never changed from the prior guest. Had to sleep on top of the bed with my own blanket.

I liked quiet environment plus customer service. Not liked is the parking lot need repair. And washroom it has to replace in good shape to attract guests. Plus the carpet should replace too.

The staff at front desk was amazing!!!

Refused to let me cancel my reservation even after Expedia contacted them directly

Rooms and property are ordinary. Ok if you are just spending the night

The room was very dirty. There was what seemed to be puke stains on the carpet. There was this strange smell throughout the hotel and the room. Not worth the price. Do not recommend this hotel. For the same price there are better options close by.
