Casa Cavassa Centro Histórico Cusco

I stayed at Casa Cavassa as a single female traveler for 6 nights to use as a home base for day adventures to surrounding sites (Macchu Picchu). My room was bright and comfortable and all of the staff were amazing. Aribel and Roxanna took care of everything I needed and were just such lovely and kind people. Even the kids that were around the space were so respectful and polite. All of my stay in Peru was magical. I had a very hard time saying goodbye. Plus, the 2 cats that live in the hotel were just darling. One of the cats would come visit me in my room when I left my wondow open. Highlight of the hotel for me. This hotel was in an excellent location as it was easy for tour pickups to find and walking distance to the city center. I felt 100% safe walking around the city and this area as a female alone. Obviously, always be observant, but I have traveled quite extensively solo, and this was a treat. It gets a little cool at night during the fall, but for me personally - the rooms were plenty warm, and there was a space heater/wood burning fireplace if needed. The rooms are also not soundproof and as with any city, there are sounds of cars, people and animals at night... so if you are a light sleeper, you may want to invest in earplugs. The shower had good water pressure and was always hot. Tap water is not recommended to drink, but they sell bottled water in large jugs on site for convenience, and there are several grocery stores within walking distance. They also have a laundry service onsite if you travel light and want to do a load! The wifi worked well, but I always recommend an E-Sim while traveling as well, just to be on the safe side. Breakfast was great. Always a good spread of fruit and yogurt and breads and cheeses/meats. Plus, they will make eggs/omelets for you off of a menu! They also have a good spread of Coca, and other local teas onsite for patrons at all times of the day for free.

I wish I could have taken the kitties home with me in my luggage! They were just the CUTEST!

Location was great and the staff were great.

Our room was facing the street and it was impossible to sleep because there A LOT of street noise

Das Apartment hat uns gut gefallen. Bei einem gesundheitlichen Problem wurde ärztlich Hilfe gerufen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Die Küchenausstattung hätte besser sein können, aber es wurde versprochen, sich darum zu kümmern.

Foi tudo perfeito. Especialmente graças à funcionária Guisela, muito atenciosa e prestativa.

This small boutique hotel is run with care and enthusiasm. We enjoyed the courtyard and the breakfast room under a glass roof. The location is a perfect mix of local life and tourist attractions.
