Motel is showing some age, but being kept up considering it being outdated

From the outside looking in you'd believe this was a nice place to stay, you know what hey say, "don't judge a book by its cover". Should have read these reviews before booking. I won't repeat all what has already been said about the conditions of this "dated" hotel as it would only be redundant. I do want to point out a few things, your chalk board in the (small) breakfast room said don't forget to fill out your survey. A week later nothing arrived to fill out. Cant find a way to review this place on their site so I am doing it here. we spent 4 days there Thursday to Monday. On the weekend you ran out of coffee, plates, napkins and food for breakfast, both days. Each day we had to go to the counter to get someone to refill things and what did we get when we went up there - ATTITUDE! OMG - really Housekeeping was every other day which meant we'd get housekeeping once on Saturday which was fine. We come back late Saturday to find fresh towels and the garbage emptied. Our bed was not made, the coffee for the coffee maker not refilled and the floor was not vacuumed. Am I expecting too much? The bed and sofa were like a sponges, you sank into it. The sofa also had no pillows to prop yourself up with. Again am I asking too much? and to show you how much "care" this place thinks of its property, take a look at the picture below, a shutter must have fell and it sits outside of our room. Does anyone walk to grounds to see what is going on there?

The breakfast was fresh with lots of choices. The eggs were real, so was the turkey sausage. Nice option to have Jimmy Dean pre made sandwiches available. Rooms were very quiet.

Although we didn't use it, the pool looked as though the bottom had not been cleaned in a while. Unfortunately we only stayed the one night.

Room was big

This hotel used to be a great place to stay, but has gone downhill since Covid. There was a strange chemical like odor in our room, carpet is worn, stains on the curtains and the kitchen sink was clogged. We were put in an accessible room which we did not request and felt like an institution. The breakfast was very good and all of the staff( especially Reva in the breakfast room) were great, but that does not make up for the rundown rooms. Sorry to say we will not return. Marriott used to be a solid brand but no longer consistent.

Riva, in the breakfast room, was a true delight. What a great way to begin the morning but with a big smile and a good story. She was helpful and friendly. Was happy to answer our questions and give recommendations. She helped made our visit very pleasant.

The breakfast was ok but not great. Was disappointed I was not able to get the discounted rate I was offered at one point since I didn't make reservations at the time of offer. Thought I would get it when I checked in.

Staff was great. Hotel needs some work. Carpet and drapes were dirty. A little surprising given my experience with Marriott hotels over the years.

Loved the room set up. Reva preparing breakfast was so nice and hospitable. Excellent job taking care of guests.

It was close to a lot of things. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I would have liked a variety of breakfast items from day to day.

It’s old and in need of renovation. Our room had a very strong odor. The carpet and furnishings were old. The bed also had a strong odor - body odor.
