Bimini Big Game Club Resort & Marina

It was great. Only problem was our first room had a little termite problem. About the time the sun went down the swarming termites started flying around the room, haha. At least they dont bite. They quickly moved us to another room and we were all set.

The hotel Staff was wonderful! Great, fun place to get the local feel of the Bahamas. The cottages were great. Food was great!

My 2nd visit in 45 years, the hotel has a nice location, nice pool, good Marina, is fairly clean & the restaurant bar is good? Otherwise, the hotel needs major renovations. The 80 year old ambiance is falling apart, maintenance & major money needs to be spent soon or the Big Game Club will be History. A memory of the past, wifi in the rooms does not work, although my Cell phone worked. The ice machines are all broken, so walk to the Bar to fill up your ice bucket, many things are old, tired & don't work? My Balcony light, nope, Broken? No fridge in the rooms to keep your drinks cold? TV worked but fuzzy on some stations? Room Service to make my room up in the morning, forget it, might happen late afternoon, I let the front desk know twice in 1 day, to please have my room made up, it occured at 4:30 pm? The place needs a total top to bottom steam wash, then needs a total painting & repairs to the cracked & broken fixtures, trim, furniture & other details? After all i am paying $225 a night for the pleasure of this historical place, at one time a tropical Gem, but now dull & tarnished? Another thing, maybe skim the pool once a day & clean it. Get rid of the cold prison like concrete floors in the guest rooms, cover them with a light wood or tiles, fake wood or whatever, concrete just doesn't do it? Best way to visit the Big Game club is in the comfort of being onboard your own yacht moored at the Marina.

Good hotel ,good facilities In Bimini is one of the best hotels

We visit Bimini each year and always stay at Big Game. We don't normally have high expectations. However, we did notice a few concerning items on this particular visit. Those being structural issues with the buildings themselves. Various cracks showing exposed structural elements, lose boards over walkways, etc. We can definitely see that a remodel may be necessary and hopefully on the horizon if they wish to further compete with Hilton/Resort World. We love staying at Big Game and will continue to do so.. We just hope the building stays safe and intact!

nothing wrong, all vibes and great people at this resort.

Upon check in, we got into our room and the guests next to us were having a conversation and felt as if they were in our room. Our initial room smelled as if it had been closed up and not cleaned for a while. I went down to the desk and they moved us, a few hours later bc it was being cleaned. The 2nd room was better but still far from comforting. At least it smelled clean. Felt better about the room but then... the safe did not work, the phone did not work, read the resort directory and wanted to order in-room service. Back down to the down to the front desk I went. I mentioned the amenities in our room that did not work, they said "we do not have in-room services"??? But your directory says it does and has 3 pages of items you can order? confused. Wifi was not working 90% of our stay. Which is totally fine to check out from our devices. However, when you have children/pets/family who cannot get ahold of you, they tend to get a bit worried when you leave the country and don't respond for 3 days. Back to the room: moldy shower curtains, musty smell, no fridge, non-working safe, non-working phone, non-working wifi, morning of departure there was no running water to take a shower or brush teeth, make sure to pull your door fully shut and push to make sure its secures. Resort: pool table was in poor shape, lots of random people hanging out by the pool and first priority in restaurant, very outdated overall! Positives: food was delicious, most staff nice.

The north ir the island is something else.

If you are going to visit Bimini, I would say this is the best option. Unpretentious with a nice bar and grill and cool shark viewing in the harbor. Convenience store is affordable and handy.
