Abitta Condado

Right now they are remodeling the property and it’s a little inconvenient. I’m sure it will be better once the work is done. Staff are great and responsive. The breakfast staff were wonderful

I stayed in the newly built Anita section and loved it. The room was brand new and I felt that it was clean. The decor is tasteful boho type styling. The room was nicely designed and cozy. I’m usually touchy about falling asleep but rested really good.

This is a nice little boutique hotel with a fun vibe. Staff are without exception professional and friendly. Location is back off busy streets but most anything you want is within a few blocks. Uber worked really well.

First of all the hotel has a completely different name than what's listed on Expedia. The hotel is a construction site and they don't disclose this information to guests. We were told that electricity would be turned off at 9am on our last day, before check out time. So we basically had to check out before the official check out time. They lied about having 24/7 front desk coverage. When we went to check out there was no one at the front desk. So we had to just leave our room keys on the counter. The only good thing about this hotel is the are it's located in, in Condado, San Juan. The rooms are super small and its a construction site. Expedia needs to vet these Hotels better because I will stop using their app for my bookings.

Note: this property has changed names (bought by Abbita next door) so it was difficult to find. It was also under construction and the El Canario building was quite empty, though the Abbita building is cute & lively with great amenities that you can use (a nice outdoor hot tub, pool, and indoor fitness center). The service I got from the front desk staff was excellent - they were super accommodating and apologetic about the condition of the construction. The room itself was modern and cozy with a comfy bed but they are clearly still putting finishing touches on it. I’m sure when it’s finished it’ll earn a full 5 stars! Also beware if you’re a light sleeper - it is a little noisy on a weekend night due to surrounding nightlife. The area is great since it is very close to the beach & bars & restaurants.
