Holiday Villa Resort & Beachclub Langkawi

Excellent property and great location. From the garden + pool facing room we got, we were also able to get glimpses of the ocean behind. Room was very comfortable (4 Star Standard so you should not come with 5 Star expectations). Its an old property so you may not find electrical sockets next to bed. But hotel service, pool, beach access etc. are all superb. If you truly want to enjoy a vacation, I would highly recommend staying at Holiday Villa. You will love the large Pool, especially if you are with family. They have a nice bar next to the pool to enjoy a mug of beer or light snacks. Likewise, they have a Bar right behind facing the beach where again you can cool yourself down with a drink while enjoying the most beautiful beach and sunset. The beach is very clean and almost like a private beach for the hotel guests. Breakfast was really good too, with very decent variety of food options. Fruits, Breads, Eggs, Omelets, Pan Cakes, Indian Cuisine (2-3 options), Local Malay Cuisine and so on.

Hotel should refurbish the rooms a little bit. For eg:. The LED TV is kept right in front of the big mirror in the room instead of putting it on one of the walls. Likewise, there were only two electrical sockets to charge you phone. One was a common socket to be used for electric kettle / iron, while the other was in one corner next to the Sofa. So became a bit inconvenient to charge your phone at those spots.

Pool and beach access with the view Staff was friendly and helpful. The chef listened to our concernes regarding the buffet and restaurant.

The rooms are old The breakfast buffet wasn’t clean, too many insects since it’s in an open area and people were touching the food with their hands.

Overall, my stay was good and met my expectations. The hotel arranged a ground floor room for me, which was very convenient, especially as I was travelling with three kids. It also provided direct access to the beach, and the beach was very clean. The kids spent almost two hours enjoying themselves there. The swimming pool is also large and well-maintained. Although the building is a bit aged, it is still well maintained and comfortable. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and I would definitely revisit again in the future.

I booked a hotel room at Holiday Villas Langkawi from May 19-23 through Booking.com and checked in on 19 May around 8pm. After entering the room, I found that the room was dirty, bed sheets dirty, bathroom dirty, phone didn't work, and safety box didn't work. I had to go down to reception for help. I could not accept this condition, because your property doesn't meet the 4 stars standard published on booking.com. I requested to cancel the reservation and asked for a refund. Hotel staff Faris sent me the Whatsapp info regarding refund process and said can proceed the refund. ( He is a nice staff ) I appreciated it. Because of the assurance of his message, plus your reservation team was off work, I also made a compromise to stay for one night as I booked already. ( During the time negotiation with the hotel, I also call more than 5 times to booking.com hotline asking about the refund process, none of the agent can give me the answer, some of them said would call back, but never. ) The early next morning, I checked out and the staff gave me a form and asked me to fill in the check in and check out date and sign. I just followed the instructions and signed on the form without reading it carefully. I thought this was a normal process and nobody informed me this was the form to give up the refund for the three extra nights I didn't stay at your hotel. In the next few days, I kept on calling booking.com and the hotel regarding the refund status. The news I received is the hotel management rejected the refund. I was indeed cheated and tricked into signing on the form that says I give up the refund for the three nights I didn't stay in Holiday Villa. This cheating and tricking on top of bad hotel management, bad hygiene should be known to any potential guests looking up booking the Holiday Villa Resort and Beachclub Langkawi.
